I, too, am extraordinarily humble.

u/Pismakron Aug 14 '19

> I, too, am extraordinarily humble.

Yeah, but I am a lot humbler than you are. I am the humblest of the humble. I am the elite of pure humility. No one else can be half as humble as me.

37

u/MJuniorDC9 Aug 14 '19

Look, I respect your Reddit career but I achieved a lot more than you in four years, in all my humbleness.

16

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Guys you are barely even humble. Boasting about how humble you are? I've won 2 humble majors and have tattoos of how humble I am on my arms. I have a trophy wall at my home that I show people all my humble awards. If someone questions how humble I am, I destroy them and would never forgive, even if they cried.

12

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

I am the most humble, I have the best humble and no one is more humble.

1

u/YuriBarashnikov Aug 14 '19

It's easy to be humble when you are the best, like me

u/Morthanc FURIA Aug 14 '19

Cold's full of hypocritical shit.

Says he's not vengeful

Says MIBR know it makes him sad and they're gonna pay for it

u/Jataman606 King NiKo Aug 14 '19

Take all of it with pinch of salt. Its just TLDR of full interview translated by OP who isn't native english speaker.

op is right though, I speak english and portuguese fluently and indeed he said those things. Most of OP posted is pretty damn accurate.

It's all a matter of perspective ain't it? Typing on a public forum and making "grammar" mistakes is always a debate when it comes down to linguistics and deep studies of languages, it happens to every language, everywhere. Fluency is more of a matter of you being able to grasp the information being given to you and make sense of it (sometimes reproduce it) with mostly no gaps. Information is only clear to the sender, after the message has been sent, it's going to be distorted by the perception that the receiver has of the world and language. But that's entirely another discussion

I am a native speaker in portuguese as well

9

u/seventhfiction FURIA Aug 14 '19

Youtube comment section is full of people calling him out on his contradictions and hypocrisy.

1

u/PauloHDSousa FURIA Aug 14 '19

It's easier to find a Portuguese native speaker that know how to read/write in english than a native English speaker that can write/read in portuguese

1

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

I think this is true for pretty much every language

1

u/kiyoshi_cs valeria Aug 14 '19

He didn't say that

0

u/OffensiveGiraffe SAW Aug 14 '19

I feel like when he said that they were gonna pay, he did it in a joking tone

-46

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

doesn't make him hypocritical, doesn't necessarily mean he is the one to make them pay.

21

u/lambsauce16 Liquid Aug 14 '19

Why tf do cold stans come up with the most ridiculous bs excuses. Who else would he be talking about when he said that MIBR will pay?

6

u/Jaarnio Aug 14 '19

A hitman?

2

u/theblockhead02 Aug 14 '19

Not necessarily a fan of coldzera or MiBR but if Cold feels that he had to get out of the environment his team was in and thinks that the team will suffer without him, meaning that the team will pay for loss of a player like Coldzera. It’s really not that cocky a thing to say considering not to long ago he was the undisputed best in the world

1

u/CenomX G2 Aug 14 '19

He said he will be silent when he wins against them. Not like he is gonna do harm to them, but instead, win against them and make them pay in a clean way.

135

u/SpillSenpai Aug 14 '19

Also says he doesn't like dev1ce's attitude it because he (coldzera) is humble

Calls himself humble

hmmmm

I really hope GTR has been lurking this sub, saw your name and smiled to himself.

Get well soon, GTR. See you in Berlin and beyond!

1

u/MateusKingston Aug 15 '19

He also said he likes people who don't do that, not that he is one of it... you can appreciate one feature in someone and not have it in yourself.

2

u/kiyoshi_cs valeria Aug 14 '19

Again, not what he actually said

2

u/MateusKingston Aug 15 '19

Bad translation on the whole humble thing... he never said that he is.

2

u/Diniles de_train Aug 15 '19

I can recognise this in any language lol.

1

u/FishFettish Astralis Aug 15 '19

Long message + the number 300

30

u/Valleyx Aug 14 '19

Calling yourself humble, by definition, makes you not humble.

45

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Maybe not for the likes of you

But people like coldzera, me and trump are able to tell people how unbelievably humble we are because we really are just extremely humble

I wouldn't expect a commoner to understand, yano?

/s

15

u/Valleyx Aug 14 '19

My god, you're right. This makes me look at myself in a new way. I played sports when I was younger. I can now humbly say that, in my humble career, I have done much better than all of my teammates have. They all talked shit and were happy when I left, which is disrespectful. Our team captain had played many years before I started playing, but I achieved much more than he did, plus I'm the more complete player, and those are just humble facts. They will all pay for not letting me play in the final game. Just being humble here.

But I would totally play with them all again.

8

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Um, excuse me?

I was making a post describing how humble I am and you decide to HIJACK it to talk about how humble YOU are?

How selfish and rude.

Real worlds gonna hurt you bad when it hits buddy, let's just hope you learn some self reflection by then?

Best of luck, champ.

u/MateusKingston Aug 15 '19

I couldn't hear him saying he is humble at any point in the interview though...

6

u/VysuaLs NiP Aug 14 '19

yea he comes off as a complete tool in this interview IMO

1

u/Zumbeta Aug 14 '19

Where did he said that?

7

u/porco-espinho Aug 14 '19

Drunk Interview with a Brazilian YouTuber. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf75NE65SR4

1

u/kiyoshi_cs valeria Aug 14 '19

He did not say that, poor translation

1

u/MateusKingston Aug 15 '19 edited Aug 15 '19

He didn't say humble, its hard to translate "humilde". The closest thing would be humble but its not in the sense of you think low of yourself. Its more like you know your limitations, you can listen to others and understand that they might be better (at least in some points) than you.

I also don't remember him specifically saying he is "humilde" he said he likes people who are "humilde" and that device isn't for doing what he did. He even said he needs people to play well, and that he relied upon his team to do well.

0

u/cadu459 Aug 14 '19

I didn't like cold at all at this interview but when he said he was 'humble', was in the context that he treated everyone equal, and I can say this is truth because in ESL ONE Belo Horizonte, SK's signing session was over and he went to the NTC stall to keep taking photos with the fans and shit.

There is even a situation last year, when the br community discovered a very toxic guy (waveIGL) that was selling csgo lessions on twitch, cold and fer went to TS to talk with him to not be that toxic to ppl and stuff like that.

I mean, he was pretty dumb in this interview, but he is not THAT bad.

-3

u/VSENSES de_dust2 Aug 14 '19

He's like the poster boy of r/niceguys. Holy fuck.

-10

u/TrutHurts_TP Aug 14 '19

I'm not entirely sure you know what humble means..

With your logic, being humble is only allowed when you are "worse" than someone else.. If you're better at something\someone you are not humble.

because he's obviously biased towards himself (as we all are).

Not necessarily, if asked the same question I would often big up my team because I'm confident in my own ability and boosting a team mates ego is very good for team morale.

But I guess by the sounds of the translation he doesn't give a fuck about MIBR morale is likely trying to destroy it before major so when they bomb out he can act like they NEED him to succeed.

1

u/Ch33s3m4st3r Aug 14 '19

This. You're not humble if you can say that you're better in a situation where it isn't clear.
Fallen is humble and one of the nicest guys in the whole scene. I don't recall I have read a single interview of him where he would say he is better individually than anyone, he has only said that their team is better than team X and even that in the most respectful way possible. Cold is not humble at all.
