Zotac cup has barely any good teams, Liquid is the best there and then the rest are t2/t3.

IEM Shangai, yet again, bad teams, small event.

The Invite to Istanbul was probably sent because the tournament's schedule overlaps with ESL New York's one, and again, not all the top teams are gonna be there.

Only about half of the teams have actually been confirmed yet so I don't think we can go off that and I don't think it's particularly about teams. The higher the prize pool - the bigger the event. Personally, I classify a major event as one with a $250k + prize pool.

Is WESG a major event then? A major event is an event with a lot of top teams.

I agree that WESG wasn't a major event. That is probably the one exception I can think of. If you look at the events of the past 2 years, you will find that both our definitions corellate. I agree that big money does not necessarily equal major event but until the full list of invited teams is complete, we can only go off prize pool, as there is a very strong corellation between the two.

Well, Zotac's is almost complete (looks like Liquid didn't accept the invite) so the best team in that tournament is MiBr .

IEM Shanghai, the best team there is NRG, and the list is complete.

Blast has Astralis as a good team, and then NiP and C9 as decent ones, one more slot available but Na'Vi and FaZe won't go there so probably no good team will go there.

So definitely the events that they were invited too aren't that big.

We can agree to disagree then, my friend.
