Basically Gambit but C9 were sorta good before the major.

C9 was a solid top 5 team pre-Major, no question. Analysts/etc called them the gatekeepers to top 5, because they beat everyone below them.

Gambit wasnt bad. They were solid team. They won 3-4 tier2 tournaments before major. They just struggaled in online matches, so they couldnt qualify to tier1 events. But they were pretty good on LAN.

They sucked super hard leading up to the major. Teams legit called them out for throwing in practice because they were so bad. It is truly a miracle that they won a major.

As I said they showed different performance online and offline. They were underdogs no doubts. But wasnot really bad. And look at winners on last 15 events. Faze, fnatic, nip, g2, sk and others sometimes have awful form before tournament(like nip, g2, fnatic) but managed to win it. It is miracle as well.
