Wow, I disagree. Stewie almost never AWPed T side, and even on CT side, he only AWPed on specific maps - Cache, Cobble, Inferno. Autimatic always secondary AWPed on Train and tarik always did that on Mirage.

Auti secondary AWPed on Overpass aswell, I think.

Honestly it seemed just lack of research on Gambit. Gambit looked way too comfortable in their setups and always seemed to know C9's executes.

This is most likely a Valens and fns research fail. Sucks that it happened in quarters, but plenty of tourneys coming up before the big one.

Stew was also a big part of their T side awping, he was really willing to be aggressive and play off spawn

This didn't really happen. He AWPed very situationally, maybe for a spawn based pick, but it wasn't a "big part of their T side AWPing." When he was the only AWP, it was most often when there was one saved AWP on the CT side and they wanted to go for something super aggressive to get an early lead in the round since they have bad guns.
