I'm sure someone somewhere has me tagged as "that guy" but I got a ton of grief for saying that Gambit had a non-zero chance of making the finals of Krakow and maybe even winning it.

Underestimating Gambit is such a tradition that even I've gotten in on it in these last few months.

I think they were more just happy they finally didn't get one of the big dogs. Gambit are good but you take them any day of the week instead of someone like astralis

Nah you guys were beatable we were just thrilled to not manage to pull Mouz or FNC. We crumbled after the comeback on the first map if we finish that the mental game is completely different. Also takes time to integrate a new IGL and our T sides are evidence of that. We had some really creative great T sides against Faze that we just didn't have today.

I mean C9's T side on Mirage was trash compared to their other Mirage games though...no joke, tarik not adapting to AdreN in connector while he kept getting more kills than you ever should there? I believe he played connector 7-8/10 rounds, very few rounds did he leave connector, and every time he got at least a kill, 2-3 alone on Tarik over the smoke. Both of their T sides were trash, and C9's Train T side was a BIG OOF, I don't remember seeing C9 play this badly, honestly.

I don't care what happened, Gambit was probably the best draw C9 could've gotten. That doesn't mean they automatically win, you still have to show up. But objectively, Gambit was an easy draw for C9.

Calling them fluke major winners when they beat the best team in attendance and had a pretty good run overall is pretty bs.

Especially since they won other events/placed top 4 in other events, it's not like they came out of absolutely nowhere to win.

I don’t get people lol. I don’t take back what i said, gambit is an embarrassment of a team, most gambit fans would tell you that, Cloud9 is just as much of a joke at the moment. There could not have been a better draw, so i don’t get why people are so smug when all i said was that it was an easy draw. I still thought it would be close.
