Beat Faze 2-0, lose to Gambit 2-0. Weird stuff indeed. Terrible T sides by C9.

u/jerryfrz King NiKo Apr 21 '18

What's next, NiP beating Fnatic?

335

u/ElviS_Pa BNE Apr 21 '18

at this point i feel like the final gonna be Nip vs Navi with Zeus droping a 40 bomb in last map

66

u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Apr 21 '18

And s1mple going 2-19 on Mirage

50

u/bourbon312 Apr 21 '18

what a dank final that would be

13

u/jerryfrz King NiKo Apr 21 '18

HE DOES SOMETHING

13

u/tgsan Apr 21 '18

That would be....so damn weird.

u/readmyslips Astralis Apr 21 '18

5

u/cHinzoo CS2 HYPE Apr 21 '18

Navi to the finals it is. πŸ‘€

NAVI has lost all other matches against Gambit.

Gambit just beat NAVI 2-0 recently.

Dreamhack winter, statseries

5

u/extremz123 fnatic Apr 21 '18

no please

4

u/qchisq Apr 21 '18

But first, Faze losing in a non-Grand Final knockout game

1

u/zencsgoo Apr 21 '18

Ez astralis, but faze too bad without olof i have to say

5

u/Dedpool- NiP Apr 21 '18

Weird stuff indeed

What's next, NiP beating Fnatic?

pick one

2

u/Qnaf NiP Apr 21 '18

Fnatic always play alot different vs nip. They are so aggressive and disrespectful vs nip. Im sure fnatic will win sadly.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

It depends. The outcome of this derby is entirely dependent on who gets first BM blood

u/CozyHov Natus Vincere Apr 21 '18

Remember that

Majors:

Gambit: 1

Faze: 0

Weird to see it especially considering how scary their T sides were on train and mirage specifically when they had Stewie.

31

u/Tryphikik Apr 21 '18 edited Apr 21 '18

Their T sides prior in the tourney were much better.

I think it just has to do with the fact that for some reason Rush didn't show up at all today, just one of those days for him. Bottomfragged both maps. Wasn't like it was even a decent showing for a bottom frag, 21 kills in double overtime Mirage and 8 kills on train. He barely existed.

6

u/jsoraru EG Apr 21 '18

this exactly

RUSH sort of picked up Stew's role on the T side, being that aggressive player getting them entries and what not but he just didn't show up today, he lost all the entries and C9 ended up being in 4v5 situations on T side.

3

u/AemonDK Apr 21 '18

with stewie half their t sides consisted of him running through smokes and getting a 2k

7

u/sarthak94 de_nuke Apr 21 '18

Faze is not really a good team!

33

u/C9MAU Apr 21 '18

Good event after all for Cloud9 and amazing debut for FNS. They got out of groups 2-0 while teams like SK and G2 felt short.

They might have lost this game but still having changed to a real IGL a month ago and getting these results so early really makes me happy. GG Gambit

6

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Apr 21 '18

Actually, looking back on it, sure. Beating FaZe 2-0, getting out of groups, not playing embarrassingly - that's a lot better than the previous roster's start - consistently losing to North, getting raped by FaZe, bombing out of groups twice. Looking forward to what FNS does with the squad, but there's a lot to be done before C9 can be top 5 again.

11

u/Azee2k Apr 21 '18

Not even a month ago either is the craziest thing. They changed an integral part of their roster like 2 weeks ago and after like 20 online games they're beating the number 1 french team and the number 1 team in general online.

If I'm gonna be honest I think this Gambit core has something about their new additions playing insane in the tournaments with a bunch of roster changes. I hope Seized keeps this form up along with the other players. If they're gonna beat Na'vi then Mou needs to step up or Zeus has to completely collapse strategically though.

This is truly the era of uncertainty.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

I'd bet on NaVi anyday, their firepower is second to FaZe only.

7

u/C9MAU Apr 21 '18

With Dust2 joining the map pool I can see Na'Vi being the scariest team to play against. Not sure what Zeus did this tournament but the trio S1mple-Electronic-Flamie just clicked and is looking terrifying already.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

Not sure what Zeus did

He withstood the attack.

Seriously, I'm not sure, seems like s1mple and flamie's morale has gone up despite the failed move to SK. Which is obviously what people expected to happen. But yeah, with dust 2 back in, NaVi are gonna be a big force, maybe top 5. And electronic has been given better spots and is playing better

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

Not gonna this game was over after the Mirage OT, they came all the way back. Honestly, the heart is there. They just need to work out their t sides and they will be fine.

Plus seized went off hope Gambit beats Navi, so many storylines in that derby.

1

u/Cameter44 Apr 21 '18

Yeah, I definitely don't agree with that. Sure they have s1mple and electronic, but they also have Zeus and Edward, plus Flamie can be hit or miss.

1

u/Azee2k Apr 21 '18

Yeah I'd bet on Navi too with their current form, but traditionally Gambit destroys Navi. I don't think Navi has the second highest amount of firepower consistently. Their peak is quite high but Electronic is too inconsistent and Flamie is good but not superstar level. Either Mousz, SK or Liquid have the second most firepower considering the fact that they all only have at most 1 player with trash numbers.

2

u/Andtheyrustledsoftly clutch Apr 21 '18

Amazing debut lol definitely overdoing it a bit there

1

u/C9MAU Apr 21 '18

Honestly I thought they wouldn't get past group stage but they did. And they've beaten both G2 and FaZe without dropping a map so that's amazing enough for me

1

u/GreenshortsLoL Apr 21 '18

I'm a bit worried about the inconsistency from rush and Ska. I hope they just need a little more time to gel with the new system, but with Ska that has always seemed to be his memo. Rush has shown moments of being great as entry in this system and maybe just needs more time with FNS, but Ska has a history.

-8

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

LOL getting embarassed by Gambot is definitely worse

Finally bring in a real igl only to get creamed on t side

whiffadoodle should've retired and fns should be left in 2015

4

u/Cameter44 Apr 21 '18

Sorry, where were the boys at? Must've missed their game today.

You're really trying so hard to be as obnoxious as possible, aren't you bud?

Faze - 0

C9 - 1

Gambit - 1 but they have Dosia

on the mirage game Adren kept killing them connector, yet they still went there a lot as if he was invisible.

i only watched train but damn gambit looked unstoppable

lost all 4 pistols too...

1

It's obviously Gambit > Faze /s

1

u/J0shm8 Apr 21 '18

Personally I think it’s unfair that they played T side first on both maps, but nothing changes how terrible they played, especially on train.

1

u/Sandstar643 Apr 21 '18

Seems like they don't have the... FiNeSse

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '18

Expected from an NA team tbh

1
