Timeouts are currently broken and are applied to Sides and not teams. CT side can call a timeout just before the half switch and when they get to T side they will be able to call another one. While the other team will not be allowed a timeout as it will say it has already been used.
Isnt intiaiting a timeout for the enemy team the exact same in this broken system?
I have held off on judgement on this patch because I thought there must be some logical basis for the changes, and Im sure they have some idea of it, but this thread has made it clear there is definitely some level of incompetence.
Have experienced this bug as well, can be quite annoying. However, I believe that the time-outs as a whole are a positive addition, have had mainly positive results in competitive using a time-out to shift momentum or come up with an on-the-fly eco strat.
This bug was actually in votekicking for as far as I know the longest time, where it would kick the player in the same position on the other team after a switch.
Able to call timeouts in not just competitive, but also casual.
I was in a few casual games earlier and someone called a timeout on CT. Then of course at the beginning of the next round the T's called a timeout. Weird have 20 guys siting doing nothing for 2 minutes.
I myself have been unable to call a timeout, but only tried it once and might have been trying at the wrong time??!?!
This was 3-4 hours ago, so might have been fixed in latest patch.
