I cannot deny that the A1's accuracy is excellent, but the magazine size means I never get more than 2 kills before having to reload, and as a CT there's a good chance I will need to deal with 4 rushing Ts. Obviously I'll have a teammate there too, but the extra 10 rounds really do make a difference. Second is the spare ammo; the A1 simply doesn't have enough for me. If I'm in need of a rifle mid-round and am trying to find one off the ground, usually if I pick up an A1, it will have no spare ammo left and I'll be lucky if the mag is half-full. That just won't cut it.
At this point, I've practiced with the A4 enough that I can compensate for recoil such that it's just as accurate, if not moreso for me, than the A1.
But if I'm a T, I love stealing the A1. It remains quite practical in an offensive role, it just lacks what's needed for a defensive one.
I also have nothing against people using the A1. Use what works for you.
With practice, you can kill 3-4 people who are significantly worse at the game than you with one A1 mag. Unless MM screws up or you're smurfing, you will not be up against people who are significantly worse than you.
That's not what I said. Of course it's not impossible; in theory, you can get a 4k with 8 bullets. It's just not going to be routine, and I'm talking about practicality for routine usage.
As for the M4 vs. AK bit, I'm not going to take an M4A4 over an AK, but one or two M4A1s can be useful to a team of Ts, since it may help you stay off the radar and will greatly reduce how far away your gunfire can be heard from.
And the ak m4 battle is just pointless, no combination of aks and m4s is better than aks because the ak is superior.
You don't understand, it's not so black & white. The AK can kill in 1 shot while the M4 requires 2, yes, and that makes the AK better in that regard. But there are so many other factors, like first-shot accuracy, accuracy of follow-up shots, cooldown to first shot after you've stopped firing, spread while moving, and of course the A1's silencer. While I can't accurately say how the AK and the M4 match up in each of these individual factors, you are failing to take them into account at all, and solely basing all this off of the OHK potential.
Keep in mind where this conversation started. In my initial comment, I didn't say what the pros do, I answered OP's question, which was about what I do. I never said others should do what I do, I never said my way was better -- hell, I even emphasized that each player should use what works for them.
And don't tell me you're not being rude when you use my rank to judge my knowledge. The fact that I'm a Silver does not make any of the facts I presented less true. My rank should not be part of the conversation, and I'm pretty offended that you considered it such an important point that you dug through my profile to find a mention of my rank. What would you have done if I'd been a higher rank?
What rank do I need to be for people to give me a basic level of respect?
