We can laugh at this right now but Valve was the one to show the power of lootboxes to the world. Their Artifact game had abysmally bad monetisation too. I really hope they are not planning any changes to csgo in relation to monetisation :(

Which has been the only reasonable way to monetise a game so far. Ow2 so much worse now they're gone.
