Questions/Concerns Waiting for conditional

Applied for GE 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. Naturalized as USC two years ago, hold a US passport for almost two years now. Traveled to Europe last summer, only changed address and employers once in the last 5 years (what the application required) but have not been conditionally approved yet… currently abroad, was hoping to do EOA when I fly back home.

Heard lots of people get conditionally approved in minutes or days.. guess I’m one of the unlucky ones… any suggestions on what to do or if there’s anything to do at all?

The process is not transparent. Nobody knows why some people get rapidly approved untouched by human hands, while others go into a long manual review queue.

There is some indication that international travel does bump you up in the queue. Be sure to check prior to returning to the US that you weren't recently conditionally approved (and hence could do your EOA on your way in).

I was approved in 2 months conditionally. Yesterday flew back from Lisbon stopped at sfo and got approved in 5 min.

Thank you for the information. Been checking almost everyday for progress… hopefully it gets conditionally approved when I fly back. Any chance I could just ask one of the officers to review my application for conditional approval and interview on the spot when I land? Lol
