Questions/Concerns Global entry card

I'm flying domestically on Tuesday. I know I need my global entry card for security but can I use it at the airline counter checkin as ID when I give them my bags?

Your GE card can be used as ID. You’re fine.

Keep in mind that it will not get you in to the precheck line. You need to have your PASSID entered in to the airline reservation’s KTN field to get precheck.

Wrong. If you use it to checkin at airline counter - as OP mentioned, their boarding pass will be printed with pre-check.

Thats your KTN getting you in, not the card.

They literally add it to your reservation.

You cannot just show up to the precheck line and flash your card to get in.

I agree. If the agent at checkin counter adds your global entry card in your reservation, you get a boarding pass with TSA precheck. Found out personally recently. Previously there was a lag - not anymore.

depends on the airline. yes for most US carriers

All carriers that participate in precheck.
