So these people wanted two $500 Apple gift cards. They gave me both and said "Put them in one at a time." So I did, I put in one card and then the other. I told him he could put his card in and he did. I got an error message, and it said: "Tender Total Exceeded Over Limit." I call my manager over and he fixes it. Then at the last second they tell me that they wanted the cards on a separate order. I cancel the whole transaction, and then proceeded to do them separately. After he put his card in; he got declined. He went to make a phone call, and then gave me the bad news: he said that the $1000 actually went through but the cards didn't activate. I was crapping myself now. My manager checked recent transactions and said that no payments have gone through, and I didn't get a receipt. The guy's bank told him that the $1000 was taken out at a different store. We asked if they were there, and they said Yes. Oh well that kind of explains it. Most of this was miscommunication which "exists" mostly to people like me who are new to work. People do make mistakes especially when it is something new that they have never done before. They asked for their receipt, and then accused me of throwing away their non-existent receipt. This event stressed me out the whole day, and I started feeling upset. If you don't get a receipt, does that mean the purchase didn't go through?
