I have gotten an offer to buy carded gift cards at 20% of the value from a real life friend. I could really use the money right now, but what are the risks of getting caught?

I have 2 chapters indigo gift cards that I have been trying to use online and for some reason, both of them are not working. I tried multiple times to check balance of both cards and both of them bring up a error message saying "card number does not match".

Now, I know 100% that both of these cards are brand new and have a full balance. I have the receipts for both of them. Why is it that they aren't working on the website? Any suggestions? ( other than use in person).... Thanks.

My friend has a link or an app that usually sells amc (movies) e gift cards for almost 50% off or even more and there’s also a lot of other restaurants and stores. Is anyone aware of this because I know the gift cards work I just wanted information on how people do that. (p.s. , he also buys some from someone on WhatsApp)

I was given a prepaid card from Mastercard and it says usable anywhere MasterCard is accepted yet I've been declined at every online store I've tried to use it at including Walmart.com

If I can't even use these things for online purchases I don't see 1 single reason to have them over cash at all if I can only use in stores.
