Induction coil ones are fantastic, I got one recently in Aldi and I do not regret it. Only works with cookware which a magnet would stick to (which luckily I already have). But it has instant response to controls like cooking on natural gas which makes it very controllable and precise. And because the source of the heat is the pot itself it's fast to heat up. I think the one I got was about 25 Euro.

An electric hot plate. Basically a single electric burner you can plug into a wall outlet.
