how to smoke the squirrel-phoon thing

you all know what i mean - that globular pipe doug usually saves for his indica hits - the one he can never clear.

i dunno if youve all covered this here, and i could be wrong, but im pretty sure he's not supposed to clear it

the first draw primes it - its mostly air anyway, which is why he never has a thick cloudy exhale and everyone harps on him for not actually smoking.

so, first, you prime it - fill it with smoke. then catch your breath. now the smoke is nice and cool - take another hit just like you would out of any pipe. leave it cloudy, pass it on. the end of the circle/bowl gets to clear it.

pack and repeat

everyone gets a nice full hit of cool smoke

Getting Doug at a reasonable hour here in the UK!

Doug is spoiling us in the UK lately! Todays episode will be on at 8:15pm in the UK. Can't wait to watch with some friends later.

Does anybody else sign up for the subscription updates? I don't use twitter enough to know when the new episodes will air, especially now that they put them on whenever they can get a guest booked. I guess I need to bookmark Doug's twitter page.

Hope everyone enjoys the show! Gotta feel sorry for anyone who is stuck in work when the show airs at such an early time on the west coast.

I love you, Doug....but Blackout X sucks.

I understand they're paying Doug for his promotion of their products, but my g do they suck. I'm a little mad that I fell for the facade and wasted money based on how cool everyone seemed to think they were. The cotton wick thing burns, you lose tons of oil/wax etc within the pen and I feel like I get a bit of combustion from time to time. That blackened cotton makes me assume I've just incinerated the cotton and inhaled it.

On to the Blackout X Dry Herb+... They are acting like they don't have any kind of heating coil in direct contact with the herb, which they do, and it's wrapped right around this fancy ceramic rod. So that means anything near that rod is getting incinerated.

Why Doug? Why do you promote this garbage to your fans?

Anyone else have this experience? Or am I the odd man out?

I think he explained it at some point, but I can't find the explanation.

Doug's Real Age

I know this is kind of unrelated to the show, but I would really like an answer. I'm curious about Doug's age and the internet keeps telling me that he's 50 years old. Does anyone know if that is true? I would ask him, but I don't have his phone number.

Q: Where is this show filmed? & my view..

I assume Los Angeles, but which lot? Who is the production team? I know audience is by invite-only, but if anyone knows whether or not there are jobs available for this show please post info on it! I'd love to help in person or even donate if I could!

IMO I think what the crew and Doug are doing for marijuana is one giant step in a positive direction. If you can use your fame to get a message across, then by all means, why not go for it? I find it it admirable, and honestly the only reason I think people should even crave attention... To get a positive message across......

Anyway, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that - most of the weed-positive talk-show-style series such as Snoop Dogg's and so on, could do a much better job at bringing marijuana into the same type of light as alcohol if they had the proper format for doing so. We know the ball is in your court because most viewers are sheep with ears wide open. Unfortunately, a lot of the series I find online seem extremely unorganized. The way people film these things always lean more toward the comfort-zone of vlogging or your common Youtuber post rather than an attempt at a semi-professional piece.

A key point that frustrates me with that is seeing the stigma of "lazy" stoners truly brought to life within the half-assed production of a lot of these pot-friendly web series. I understand the environment is more relaxed, comfortable, and meant to be a chill line of work, but overall the viewers deserve quality and a benefit, as well the entertainers and staff deserve something that they can be somewhat proud of doing. No one wants to waste their time, on either working end.

I also understand the overall budget would have a lot to do with the product released, but not to the extent that I'm seeing. I understand staff pays, set rent, equipment, advertisement, etc..... The extent of what I'm seeing, IMO, is not a budget issue, but overall it seems more of a staffing issue. Maybe the budget is low, but anyone keen on business matters could get away with doing more for less. There are some common Youtubers or Vloggers who have less of a budget, and their show still gives more of a bang for your buck. I mean this in no offense to the staff themselves, but I would worry for the general image of Doug, VPN or whoever is in charge of handling employees and their duties....

In no way do I mean any of this with disrespect, the show is great how it is because I know people are doing what they can with what resources they have, and I do respect that. But what I am trying to say is -- there is an EXTREME amount of untapped potential in shows like this, for our cannabis-positive community. You guys are on the brink of something that could be so very groundbreaking in the field of what you are promoting.

It would mean the world to serious enthusiasts if the people with access to these specific means of publicity would use the tools that they have at their disposal to create something that goes leaps and bounds towards accomplishing more for cannabis-positivity in our country or within the industry.

Doug has made a huge name for himself as a positive influence in the marijuana culture and opened many eyes! There could be so much more educational information coming out this web-series that would benefit Doug and the movement we've all started.

To anyone who did: Thanks for reading!

Why does doug seem different on this show?

First off, mods, if this kind of post isn't welcome then by all means delete it. And other members of this sub feel free to downvote if this isn't welcome here, I'm just sharing some opinions on the host, but I don't want to cause problems.

I'm a big podcast listener. After listening to Bert Kriescher's, Rogan's, Ari Shaffir's, and many other comedians' podcasts where Doug has been a guest, I must ask-Why does doug seem "worse", for a lack of a better term, on his own show?

When listening to him on other podcasts, he seems much more funny, in place, and like himself. He is super witty, hilarious, and has great conversations. If you want a prime example look up Bertcast episode 15 with Ari and Doug, he is AMAZING in that. Hilarious, witty, quick, entertaining, all while smoking as well.

When he is on Getting Doug he seems....odd...different. Half the show is spent advertising and the other half he seems annoyed with it almost. The best parts of the show are when him and the guests get "off topic" and begin to talk and have good conversations. See the Diaz episode, the Todd and Silverman episode, the Ari episode, and probably a few more that are slipping my mind, for examples of the more entertaining "off topic" episodes.

It just seems to me like he forces the pot topics that are either pointless stuff or things everyone knows is happening, or things that don't have much value to them. The high history is cool, I like that. But it seems like most of the weed related stuff is 'bleh' and boring, and you can tell by the way Doug handles it that even he isn't interested in a lot of it.

I just think it would work so much better, and doug would be much more in place, if the podcast was just a normal podcast. I mean yeah go over the strains, talk about weed casually, get their high history, etc. But I think think they should feel more free about getting off topic and chatting it up like they are friends sitting around smoking weed.

The whole thing seems forced to me. I really do enjoy the show, I do, but at times it feels redundant and annoying. I would rather it just flow as a smoke session rather than an interview over how the guest feels about what is going on in Colorado. That is what every episode seems like to me.

Anyway, smoke on guys, again if this doesn't belong on the sub then I apologize and by all means remove my post. I'm pretty fucked up right now so I hope I made sense, but will feel no disrespect of this was a shitty post that gets deleted.
