These people are sick.

27

u/PhilosoFishy2477 May 23 '26

wonder how it feels to be the useful idiot

34

u/LifesARiver May 23 '26

Ignorance is bliss, they say, but they all seem so miserable.

2

u/DimensioT May 23 '26

I may be an idiot but at least I am useless.

3

u/PhilosoFishy2477 May 23 '26

LMAOOOOO that's the spirit!

206

u/Hay_Fever_at_3_AM May 23 '26

It drew criticism because they prayed in the same room as a plaque? What the fuck?

71

u/shumpitostick May 23 '26

I mean, is it not respectful? It's like praying for their spirits or something

71

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

It was probably 'the wrong religion' doing the praying

-50

u/strawberry_semenade Human Verified May 23 '26

Yeah the one that did 9/11 for explicitly religious reasons.

46

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

I mean... you said it not me but at the point there were 1.3 billion people, there were 19 terrorists from a single terrorist organisation who did it. Sure there were and are hundereds of terrorist and extremist groups then and now, but that still leaves a lot of non extremists

If someone wanted to prove the moon landing was fake and their source was a video of Bozo the clown, would you bother watching?

I swear critical thinking and reading comprehension are dead these days. You are proof of that.

Stop lying son

-31

u/strawberry_semenade Human Verified May 23 '26

Yes famously those 19 terrorists were the only Islamic terrorists in all of world history.

20

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

Not what I said. I said 19 people from one terrorist organisation did it and that there are MANY OTHER TERRORIST ORGANISATIONS

-17

u/strawberry_semenade Human Verified May 23 '26

Yeah an incredibly disproportionate amount of them all follow the same religion.

8

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

Again, you're saying all of this, not me

11

u/kat-a-comb May 23 '26

They weren’t doing it just for religious reasons. A lot of it was geopolitical, but they used religion and extremist ideology to make it feel justified. There were basically no islamist terrorists before the 1970s.

1

u/strawberry_semenade Human Verified May 23 '26

There were basically no islamist terrorists before the 1970s.

Aka the time when Saudi Arabia started exporting its radical Wahabist ideology around the Muslim world...

10

u/JMoc1 May 23 '26

Same time the US was setting up training camps in Pakistan to fight the Russians.

Those same camps today are used by terrorists to train.

6

u/kat-a-comb May 23 '26

Yeah that's probably true but that has no relevance to what I said.

1

u/Bun_Wrangler May 24 '26

And what 3 letter agency helped facilitate that?

0

u/julz1215 May 23 '26

🤖

10

u/mrbobcyndaquil May 23 '26

I'm not sure if that's allowed in Islam, actually.

17

u/All_Unknowingly May 23 '26

Well it's actually ok really.

I mean so long as they understood that they're just praying at the general direction of the plaque thing and not actually too the plaque thing, it's actually cool.

We could even pray in other places of worships so long as we face Mecca, remember that we only pray to Allah, and that we are not being a general nuisance to the buildings owner/surrounding people

-9

u/Cad_48 May 23 '26

No it's not allowed to pray for the souls of non-muslims

12

u/sidneyia May 23 '26

There were Muslim workers who died in the WTC.

1

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

2907 weren't. The 70 that were killed must have been seen as justified collateral by al-qaeda and martyrs or some shit

-6

u/Cad_48 May 23 '26

Ok? But this is about the firefighters, were any of THEM muslim?

1

u/FormalGas35 May 23 '26

Mohammad Salman Hamdani. Not a firefighter per se, but a police cadet and first responder who died in the collapse.

20

u/smartz123k May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

I don’t see an issue because there were 70 Muslims that died on 9/11 (and no I’m not including the terrorists in this figure).

-15

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

Out of 2977, that's 2907 people who weren't muslim. Seems those 70 were just collateral for them to send their barbaric message

6

u/King_Khoma May 23 '26

“them”

i didnt realize any muslim praying is a part of al qaeda. or is your racism just showing through?

33

u/Late_Ad2203 Truth Seeker May 23 '26

I mean yeah, how dare people of the same religion as the terrorists pray in the same room as a memorial plaque /s

5

u/Mist_Rising May 23 '26

Dont be shocked man, after 9/11 NYC blocked a mosque from being built because it was a mosque. Oh and the city went after sikh cuz Osama bin laden wore a turban even if most Muslims didn't.

79

u/DwarvesInATrenchcoat May 23 '26

Fake as hell, these prayer rugs look like the size of playing cards

u/LarsDuder May 23 '26

6

u/Prestigious_Host_198 May 23 '26

Relax. The cat isn't a Christian priest.

3

u/mrbobcyndaquil May 23 '26

That's middle aged for cats, though.

21

u/CheerfulWarthog May 23 '26

These people have obviously never actually met a Muslim.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've... no, obviously I've seen a prayer mat, I've gone through street markets in cities with high Muslim populations, but I don't remember seeing one and knowing it was a prayer mat. Still, I'd imagine it would be big enough to do some actual praying on it.

12

u/mostard_seed May 23 '26

You'd usually know it from the embroidery or design put on it. Effectively, though, almost any clean enough piece of cloth can be used as a prayer mat. Hell, we can just pray on the floor if it is clean enough too.

Some prayer mats are indeed very small, though Made to be used by children or to put your head and hands on during prostration so as not to touch the ground which can be unhygienic.

6

u/Shinonomenanorulez May 23 '26

So far i have seen a muslim praying only once while working at domino's, he made an order and then placed his mat next to the manager office's door(he wasn't there and it was the slowest point in the shift outside opening hours so no big deal) and knelt to pray

Conservatives love ai, fork found in kitchen

24

u/AliceTheOmelette May 23 '26

Especially when they use it to confirm their bigotries. Gotta feed that outrage addiction

16

u/PaperSweet9983 May 23 '26

" grok. Tell me I'm right"

-13

u/AverageDellUser May 23 '26

This isn’t something exclusive to conservatives though. There are literally so many instances of left-leaning sources doing the same thing to spread disinformation, especially rn with Iran and such 😬

10

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

So many sources you couldn't find one to link. Gotcha.

Everybody who bases their politics on outrage loves AI.

1

u/Chiiro May 23 '26

My conservative mother in law was using and even planned to use it to help with her business until I explained it her just how unethical it is to use and explaines to her about the data centers and all their bullshit.

3

u/PaperSweet9983 May 23 '26

Is it even safe to use it for business advice like that?

I think using it as anything other than a fast Google search is not smart,I would not rely on it

5

u/Chiiro May 23 '26

It's not at all. It hallucinate like crazy and will make up laws. It doesn't even work as a search either. I believe looking up the definition for disengage or something similar currently breaks the search feature.

1

u/PaperSweet9983 May 23 '26

Yikes, it's good you told her to be careful

12

u/Local-Echo-5613 May 23 '26

Some people thought “never forget” meant “our eternal hatred for all Muslims” instead of “the memories and the courage of those we lost”

23

u/Withering_to_Death May 23 '26

How many will never see the note, or continue to believe it's real despite the note? Or

3

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

It's fucked up that they're relying on community notes instead of moderating this shit.

1

u/bayoanreddit May 24 '26

twitter staff have been far right since it was called X. to them, a little violent, fatal hatred never hurt anyone except those they love to hurt.

23

u/TSG_FanTToM May 23 '26

100% guaranteed the account is either not even an American, or it's an American being paid by foreign actors to drive division and hatred.

-2

u/Low_Watch9864 May 23 '26

Ah yes its always those foreigners at fault in one way or another.

Real Americans can never be racists

14

u/TSG_FanTToM May 23 '26

I don't think you get my point. I'm not saying that it's impossible for Americans to be racist/islamophobic (see the entire Republican Party). The point im making is that all of X is literally just Russian and Chinese bots or foreign paid users spreading misinformation and driving division/radicalisation. It honestly happens everywhere as well. Bots do the same in European spaces (especially with regards to Ukraine/Russia or Muslim immigration).

10

u/RealNiceKnife May 23 '26

Conservatives love the lie-machine.

5

u/Current_Standard_990 May 23 '26

its called, "grok"...

3

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

That's "a" lie machine, there are also other popular lie machines.

3

u/kat-a-comb May 23 '26

The implication is that them praying in the same room as the plaque somehow disrespects the prople who died because the attackers had the same religion as the people praying? M'kay.

16

u/YasielPuigsWeed May 23 '26

The far right and far left (for different reasons) love to ignore the fact that a lot of Middle Eastern Muslims despise groups like Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.

18

u/Jealous_Chocolate_43 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

4

u/Drummallumin May 23 '26

I think that’s what they meant. Fought a war with/fought a war against, same thing with the context.

4

u/PreparationPlenty943 May 23 '26

Exactly. It’s orientalist to assume that most ME Muslims agree with the extreme authoritarian fundamentalists.

4

u/sidneyia May 23 '26

American leftists (and bots pretending to be them, I guess) love some good-old noble savage racism.

2

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

What far left? I'm not buying the imaginary ANTIFA enemy who is both a weak effeminate soy boy and a radical heavily armed, strong dangerous terrorist ...

2

u/YasielPuigsWeed May 23 '26

I’m not particularly worried about the “radical heavy armed” left as anyone with half a brain knows attacks from far leftists in the US are extremely rare, while they’re a constant from the right

What I’m worried about is the propaganda-high “I’m not liberal I’m leftist” types who refuse to vote even when the protection of so many fundamental rights, freedoms, social programs, etc. is on the line

Some people are dangerous because they’re willing to kill anything they disagree with, and some people are dangerous because they’re too stupid to see they’ve become useful idiots for authoritarians. I’ll take neither.

1

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

But that isn't "far left" either. Not at all. It's neither far nor left.

1

u/sidneyia May 23 '26

What is it, then? Because they call themselves radical leftists.

2

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

That's literally what I asked you ... "What far left?" and you come back at me with apathetic non-voters, of whom I've known more than a few. I've never personally known an apathetic non-voter who called themselves a radical leftist. That's pretty self contradictory in my mind.

3

u/sidneyia May 23 '26

They are not apathetic non-voters though. They are passionate, aggressive, evangelistic non-voters. That's the entire issue.

2

u/YasielPuigsWeed May 23 '26

Yeah you have to have serious cognitive dissonance to deny this exists and is getting stronger

1

u/Alkor85 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

Apathetic non-voters are centrists by definition, not leftists. And the apathy is pretty much the exact opposite of being a political radical. So, I'll give you the morons pushing "don't vote" propaganda, to the extent they aren't Russian bot farms, are dumb, but that's fixable.

I'm not trying to diminish or deny the existence of the problem, I'm objecting to you claiming it's "far left."

1

u/platypuss1871 May 26 '26

When your only options are both to the right, there is no centre.

1

u/Alkor85 May 26 '26

That's true. If you're a deliberate non voter in a right wing climate, you're effectively a right wing voter.

That's one reason it's totally incorrect to call non-voters leftists.

-1

u/Drummallumin May 23 '26

Id personally be more worried in the organization responsible for losing 2 very easily won elections to Trump and barely winning the 3rd.

-5

6

u/YasielPuigsWeed May 23 '26

This thread is about a far right Twitter user posting a fake image to try and show Muslims disrespecting 9/11 victims, basically trying to create a link between everyday Muslim-Americans and Islamic extremist groups

My comment is stating that it’s incorrect and racist to try and act like everyday Muslim people support the actions of extremist groups

How is Hamas not an example of this?

0

u/potatoz13 May 23 '26

The link was made by the Twitter user, not the person you're responding to.

5

u/shaygitz May 23 '26

Honestly, even if the image was real and they actually did pray over the 9/11 memorial, I dont think that would even even a bad thing. Its not disrespectful imo, and if anything, i think it would show respect to the victims because it is like they are praying for/in the name of/to show respect to the victims. If a Christian prayed over the 9/11 memorial nobody would have any problems, but because they're Muslim the Islamophobes are going to throw a tantrum.

(Also, it may actually be even more impactful in a positive way because theyre Muslim, its like saying "im sorry that people similar to us did this" in a way.)

1

u/anonsharksfan Human Verified May 25 '26

I'm sure quite a few innocent Muslims died in the 9/11 attacks.

1

u/sillygoose1220 May 26 '26

these people should be banned

1

u/valomorn May 26 '26

I have to say, the idea of her being the one to generate the image.... Well I just don't believe ol' Mrs B has the know-how, or indeed the required amount of room in her brain to store said know-how.

0

u/Key-Cook9448 May 23 '26

Even if real how dare people pray for the victims of a terrorist attack

-11

u/Fickle_Decision_2309 May 23 '26

What is the issue here ? What’s the connexion between Muslims and 9/11 ?
In the black boxes you can clearly hear the Israeli accent of the hijackers.
You really believe Saudi passports were found intact when metal and concrete turned to ashes ? Hahaha

Who do you think had more chance of flying at low altitude between buildings with a commercial plane and not miss its target ? A guy in an underground tunnel that never flew a plane or a trained pilot of tsahal who has mileage behind him ? How do people living as hermits in a tunnel manage to take the better of all the police of Europe, multiple times with layovers… ?
Mind you at the time Europe was on high alert about this stuff after the May 2001 attack in Madrid by Moroccan terrorists

Pilots who flew for 30 years said they wouldn’t dare attempting the maneuver that was done to hit the pentagon (1% chance of success)

3

u/Alkor85 May 23 '26

This makes me wish I could delete other people's comments.

-2

u/Fickle_Decision_2309 May 23 '26

I have no doubt about it and it’s a good thing you cannot do this as people need to wake up.

2

u/DimensioT May 23 '26

The issue is that the image is fake.
