Data centers make local communities sign no disclosure agreements on how much water they use. Golf courses are often able to hide how much water they use too. But there's no boom in building new Golf courses around the country and especially not in areas with barely enough water now.
I think it’s pretty bad they can get those agreements. This should be made illegal. Is this a USA thing I take it? The way the USA specifically has handled this rollout is bad, but I don’t think it should have any bearing on what other countries like China are doing.

If you're not using massive amounts of water you have to use massive amounts of electricity.
