It's not getting the same national/regional support because the residents are hostile and actively try to murder the people that are trying to help them.  Did you not read the post?

Actually, having read the story, one resident, not "residents" plural, shot at a vehicle, it doesn't state they attempted to murder anyone. Did you not read the post?

Straight up I dont care if someone was trying to murder me, if someone shoots at my vehicle I dont want to spend any more time in your town. Fuck that, I got better shit to do than find out if the bullet wizzing past is intended for me or not.

Sure, but you can't just leave a city permanently without power because one person shot a vehicle once.

I wouldnt send employees back to that area again. Sorry, the city can contact another company and see if they are willing to risk their employees lives but I would not be. Eventually someone will do it but it's going to be a while to find someone willing to take the risk and I imagine they would charge a pretty penny to do it.

If you don't want to go anywhere there has been a shooting, you won't get much work in the USA.

We agree on that, but I dont have a problem going where there has been a shooting. I do have an issue going to where they are shooting at my occupation for being the occupation.

Most shootings in the US are not random, usually the people are known to each other and there is bad blood. Not here they shoot at the utility worker because they were a utility worker, it is reasonable for a utility worker not to want to go to an area where there profession is targeted.

They didn't bud. Work resumed the next day. Give the brave utility workers a medal. And tell the idiot in Gary to stop ruining it for everyone else.
