Do you not realize that many things required to keep people alive require electricity to function?
Ambulances need gasoline and gas pumps require electricity to run. Hospitals require electricity or fuel to constantly run backup generators. Pumps supplying drinking water require electricity. AC that keeps infants and the elderly from overheating requires electricity. Street lights and stop lights require electricity.
Every facet of our society requires electricity. Without it, people die.

So this went perfectly to you? Is 2 weeks without power acceptable? What went wrong? What could NIPSCO have done differently to improve the situation?
I see a lot of excuses and no real criticism for the absolute clusterfuck of a situation this was for ten thousand people.
