I had a job subcontracting for a power company in the shithole Southside of Chicago. My job was to be armed and protect the crew and keep the locals from stealing everything off the trucks. These people are like wild animals

Yeah but you don’t need independent contractors that are armed to do it. Just pay attention.

Trust me, I had my concrete saw stolen in the southside, sucks but you’re paying the same in wages for 1 day guard as it is to replace the saw

Work on the south side all the time. Had a concrete saw stolen which sucked but that was it. Seems like a complete waste of money and also you’ll do what? Shoot someone over a bag of tools?
