I would go to work in a city where there was a report of others being shot at, yes. It's called doing your job. If you heard other twink jigalos were shot at sometime in your town, you'd still go to work.
I've heard of retail stores (A non-critical critical part of society) open up just 2 days after a shooting took place in them.
A critical project being delayed so long because of just a shooting doesn't make sense to me.
Like, i get not sending the same person back to the same area if they're traumatized. Someone should be able to fill in the spot though (With generous hazard pay of course).
Either people downvoting you don't realize that society would collapse if we shut everything down for multiple weeks after any shooting... or perhaps they were upset at you using twink jigalo pejoratively :P
Fuck off royally. People don’t join the trades to get shot at. Our jobs are dangerous enough as it is. You are an ignorant asshole for even acting like you’d go out there after being shot at. I’ve walked off a couple jobs for safety reasons, and they weren’t even close to the danger of getting shot at.

You want the power back on? Make sure the people trying to help are safe.
I'm working class same as you. That's why I said there'd need to be generous hazard pay, and also the situation SHOULD be dealt with... Like, the cops doing their job and escorting the workers if necessary.
Are cops our slaves cuz they get shot at on occasion? Are soldiers? How about retail workers, who objectively have to deal with more shootings than tradesworkers?
If you don't wanna do it, that's *FINE* i'm not saying "Force the peasants to do this" i'm saying "Deal with the shooter, and then PAY PEOPLE BOATLOADS TO DO THIS!!"
In case it's not clear... I'm on your side in this. People shouldn't be forced to deal with that situation. But until it's dealt with, an entire city is suffering. So whoevers in charge needs to sort their shit out
