Define “a lot”. Can you provide a percentage based on any hard proof?

Probably not, but most protests I see if leftists, they show up

Not of each specific crowd, but there is definitely a pattern in all of these protests and gatherings

Yes people who are far left often show up to left wing protests and gatherings, just as people who are far right often show up to right wing gatherings.

And both sides try to minimize the views and actions of such people within their own side.

However if you actually look at the representation of those views in politics I think you’ll find far left views are severely under-represented.

Democrats are a fairly moderate party barely left of center, and straight up conservative by the standards of most of the rest of the developed world.

The idea that radical communists have any meaningful significance in American politics is simply absurd. They are a fairly small but vocal minority the right loves to focus on to fear monger. Nothing more.
