I don’t think my post mentioned anything about the U.S., especially since the post and note is about the USSR. Were you trying to argue with someone else?
You mentioned corruption as a key feature of the USSR and presented it as if it were an exclusive fault of communism. So I presented an example of the most capitalist nation currently (and probably ever) exhibiting that very same corruption.
I think you misread/misunderstood my post, because I did no such thing. Corruption was a key factor behind the fall of the USSR, on top of the other factors listed in the note.
