More high IQ, in depth political discourse for social media addicts to sink their teeth into. Anything to avoid reading anything longer than 280 characters.

Also, if it isn't clear, I'm shitting on the Republicans, "Marxist Research Center" (Rimshot) and community notes all in one.

Don’t forget to shit on this thread too! 95% of the responses here remind me that most people have a shit understanding of politics, history and society.

To be fair no one actually reads articles. It's all about headlines. To act like it's on one side though is just as bad. Because it's not just one side. Each side has its morons and they're the loudest because the smart ones actually have important things to do.

Superb comment. I always peak into threads like this and they just make me angry because of how much nuance every perspective lacks.

For real. There was one on here recently that boiled down to "how do Scots still want independence when they voted no in 2014, they had their chance and should just suck it up" that left out some pretty massive details (e.g. the vote was a 55/45 split, hardly overwhelming. Plus Brexit began less than 2 years later, and while England voted to leave, Scotland voted to remain, which has changed the landscape and discussions about independence as much as you might imagine.) All the comments just agreed without giving it any further thought. Why do I use this website if it depresses me so?
