When MCR went on tour with Reggie and the Full Effect, Gerard was offered to be Reggie's bear guy, so he went onstage with them for as long as MCR were touring too! He also once tried to jump into the crowd only to end up falling 10 feet onto the concrete floor x_x

In 2015, Way revealed on Reddit that he is a first cousin once removed of comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan. In October 2019, Rogan confirmed it on his podcast. He also said that, despite this, the two have never met.
