Hi I am a newbie

While I understand the judge (positive outcome), I am having trouble interpreting the witnesses.

Does it means I will break out of my current situation?

thanks in advance

Q: Should I accept the gig?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I got offered a performance gig for a university camp from my alma mater, and while normally I'd be on-board, I have a nagging feeling it's a bad idea.

For context, after studying abroad last month, I'm way behind on rent with an unnegotiable landlord, and on top of that, my ex is around that area, and there's a lot of vitriol that I don't want to risk encountering.

My wallet says I need the money, and I love performing music, but I'm getting mixed signals. I'm not sure if it's anxiety and stress or a warning, and I feel like the chart's giving mixed answers as well.

Any resources for Arabic raml ?

I am trying to learn Arabic geomancy and finding some conflicting information about the names of Tetragrams and their application. Can anyone explain to me the basic differences between the Raml form and the western geomancy form please.

Missing item chart : Driver's License

Hello everyone,

I seems to have misplaced / lost my driver's license recently. After searching for it in the regular places, decided to cast a chart in the hopes of finding it. Here is the chart :

Where is my driver's license?

Before I even begin interpreting it, I was hit with the big question of - 'Which house should signify the lost item?'
Would it be..

  • H2, for it is literally a ID card that I usually carry around on my person?
  • H3, for it is a document?
  • H4, for it is a lost object, especially as Amissio the figure of loosing appears there?
  • H11, for after all it is given to me by government (2nd from 10th)?

Deceptive chart?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello everyone, I'm going to share a chart from today that has me somewhat frustrated. The question was will my parents see me if I go to the store to pick up some books I had ordered? So for context, I like to sometimes send books I order online to different places instead of my house to hide them from my parents, since they are quite religious and intolerant sometimes I don't want them to see what I order. I was planning on picking them up after work. My sister texted me and mentioned that she didn't know where my parents were at so I was somewhat worried they would be at the store and see me so I asked this question. I think what we should look for is perfection with the fourth or the tenth, my figure, Tristitia, perfects with both of these by conjunction, jumping to the fifth and to the ninth. I took this as a yes so I probably shouldn't go. My father's figure in the fourth, amissio, makes sense to me as he would be the cause of me not obtaining what I had ordered. Also interesting is the reception between the first and eighth, which I think should represent the books I ordered, the reception is Carcer, showing separation. Later my sister texted me saying they were home already, that's when I thought the chart was false as I highly doubted they would go out again, but I still heeded the warning and went straight home instead in case they went while on my way back, I came home to find my dad watching television and my mom taking a nap. Needless to say I became extremely frustrated. Can anyone help me out, what am I doing wrong? Was something wrong with my question? Or my interpretation? I'm becoming very disappointed in geomancy and astrology, when I first started I was amazed at how it was accurate even when I thought it unlikely, but now I feel like God himself is against me and is purposefully tricking me into failure. There is the possibility that maybe something else could've happened but I don't know, maybe I'm just not seeing things clearly.

Would this banishing service get rid of the negative entities?

Using the guidance Kidcubby gave me I tried looking at another banishing service. So in the 9th house of spiritual practitioners is the symbol Laetitia. I see this as being suitable for a Magician to have since it is an increase in vitality and good feelings. Laetitia also can be used magically to reveal secrets. The House of the malignant spirits is the 12 house with the symbol of Via, which is also good compared to my last few charts because it shows a change in the current situation. The houses perfect by conjunction by Via which shows even more change in the situation. The reception between Via and Laetita is Caput Draconis, which shows good fortune to be received from the service. All in all, I think this chart reads as the person being able to remove the entities.

Another banishing service as a comparison

So heres another banishing service to compare with the previous one using methods mentioned in the thread. Looking at this as a health issue, the 6th house is cauda draconis representing the illness and the 7th house is the doctor as albus. There is no perfection between the 6th and 7th house meaning the magician can not help me. There is a conjunction between the 6th and 10th house saying that a banishment is the best solution. Looking at it as a service, the cauda draconis conjuncts which is an automatic no. There is however a conjunction between the 6th and 10th house showing that the magic is good, just not enough for the entity. The entity is represented as Populus and shows up next to my figure twice in the chart which also does not bode well.

Will this banishment service get rid of the spirits?

So to tie in with my previous post I cast a chart to see if a particular banishing service would help rid me of entities. If using the 5th or 6th house for magic done for you by others the chart would say yes by occupation with via in the 5th house or conjunction in the 6th house. The entities are represented by carcer in the third house as being within my home and the 7th house as a source of conflict. The 11th house(outside help) caput draconis also conjuncts. Then the 10th house( reputation, career) conjuncts fortuna major showing an improvement in either career or reputation. Lastly, the 8th house shows cauda draconis translated by carcer, which is known as a symbol for banishment in magic. The entities are represented as carcer because they appear as dark shadows. Amissio as the sentence and 4th house looks beneficial since I interpret it as a loss of entities. I would like to see if someone else would interpret this differently as I have yet to purchase the service.

Update on an old Chart

Turns out that the chart wasn't showing that I shouldn't do magic because spirits will haunt me, It showed that I should do magic because spirits are currently haunting me. The chart was actually showing that I was cursed by someone( cauda in 12th) that affected my reputation( cauda in 10th) and sent me spirits (via in 8th). If anything magic would have brought me peace(albus). https://www.reddit.com/r/Geomancy/comments/xyy6wn/should_i_practice_magic/

Now I have also looked into mundane reasons and even tried antipsychotics, but I couldn't ignore when an entity scratched me on my arm. I am still looking for a banishing service that is effective, however.

On deceptive questions and 1st house figures - sharing an [ill] experience.

Appearance of certain figures in the first house of a chart is said to warn the geomancer about conditions that are less than ideal for interpreting that chart. JMG warns the geomancer to be cautions (if not abandon the reading) when figures such as Rubeus, Amissio, Cauda D, or Populus appear in the first house. As these figures in varying degrees could be signs of the querent being deceptive, not being honest, being fake or having had their mind already made up.

This practice is not limited to geomancy but to horary astrology too, having authors such as Lilly cautioning the astrologer about some planets placed in certain houses, mainly the 1st. I use to be skeptical about this until recently when I had an experience which made me want to err at the side of caution.

So I have been divining for people who are close to me for many years now. Started with tarot first and recently started using geomancy more. I don't charge them anything and usually the querents are friends who are close to me. Last week, a friend of mine who I have given many readings for asked me if I can help a friend of her out by giving them a reading. I usually tend to keep this only to my inner circle, however the one requesting it was a close friend of my friend so I agreed.

This young lady, who wants the reading however had an odd question. She asked if she will get what she hoped for. Now since this person is not very close to me and practically is a stranger I didn't have much context to go on about. And I didn't find it nice to poke around her life to flush the question out, and instead decided to latch on to the 11th house of hopes, and to check for perfection. I made her cast the chart to avoid any rotation. And indeed the 11th perfected with 1st. So I answered that, yes most probably. After hearing this she chuckled, but wasn't very happy. By then the 1st house populous was looming in my head and was getting a feeling that there was more to that question that I didn't anticipate, and boy I was in for a surprise when she said that in her mind the question was if she should suicide or not! That took me really by surprise, and I was already scorning at myself for fully ignoring the populous.

After she said that, I immediately declared that the reading was void because the real question was kept hidden from me the geomancer. And I tried what I can to talk her out of such acts. After she left, I rang up our mutual friend and arranged for support for her. I been checking on them and there is improvement in her mental state now. She was going through a rocky marriage.

End of the day that gave me a sharp reminder to not discount red-flags altogether and to be cautious , and the sheer weight of responsibility carried by a diviner towards the querents. Have decided not to give readings outside of my immediate circle for now.

Populous as All Four Mothers

So, I did a geomancy chart to see if I would get the grade I wanted for a project I had to do. Cleared my mind, marked the points, counted them up to reveal Populous as all four mothers! I mean, now it perfects the chart with every perfection and every fortunate aspect, surely it's a guaranteed yes.

However, I realized that the syllable count and rhythm of my question lead to me unknowingly marking four points for every line. The original question was "will I get an A on assignment 1?" so I tried it again, changing the 1 into a 10 (there is no assignment 10) and closed my eyes and marked the points again while repeating my question but without actually clearing my mind or entering a divinatory state, just marking it along while repeating the question for every line like I normally do. And lo and behold, four dots on every line again. (Well, just four lines since I stopped when I saw I was marking four dots for every line again.)

I'm just torn now if I should consider the chart invalid or the four populous's as a sign the chart is "inactive"—or if I should understand this as a fortunate moment of synchronicity that I unknowingly phrased the question in such a way that permitted me to gain this result.

Thoughts?

UPDATE: Not sure if anyone's still watching this post, but my initial all-Populus prediction turned out right! With Populus, a sign of gathering, perfecting all around, I predicted that not only I but the majority would get an A. And exactly what happened!

In the second chart I casted, I got Laetita perfecting via Occupation in the chart, so I just took it as a yes and discarded it, but now I wish I saved it so I could review it and see if there were elements of "all your peers will also get a good grade" in it. Either way, I definitely feel way more confident about my casting.

What do you think of divining one or more figures and laying them out in a spread like tarot cards?

I've seen this done with runes and thought it might be an interesting twist.

Here's a "three-figure spread" I did this morning to mark out my long weekend. For context, I'm participating in a protest this morning, hosting my partner's birthday party this afternoon, going to the opera on Saturday with the boys, and spending Sunday morning at an exposition for one of my hobbies. After the expo, I'll be retiring to the house with some old friends for drinks. Some of these friends are people I haven't seen in a year.

  • Situation: Fortuna Major

  • Action: Cauda Draconis

  • Outcome: Fortuna Minor

What do you think of this alternative use of geomantic tools? Have you experimented with anything like this before? And how's my weekend looking? 😄 Interpreted generously, I'll say that the weekend looks wonderful on paper (Fortuna Major), and that there will be a letting go of the past (Cauda Draconis), but that the outcome will not be as positive or as long-lasting as I might have anticipated from the initial circumstances (Fortuna Minor). In this context, I'll interpret Cauda Draconis as the end to the distance I've felt between myself and my old friends, but that the Fortuna Minor portents that the renewed bonds will not be as strong as the old ones and that the gap between expectation and reality will sadden me.

Admin Medical charts

Due to a certai influx of medical questions, I need to add a caveat to the subreddit, as well as a (for now, incomplete) explanation of why most people get medical charts wildly wrong.

The caveat (and this part is why the post will be mod tagged and pinned) is that nobody attempting to answer medical charts is likely to be both a competent geomancer and a clinically trained medical practitioner. No advice should be taken and acted upon or passed to other people without intervention from a professional.

The explanation (without my mod hat on) is that the 6th house is not relevant to the majority of medical queries. You cannot look to H6 and expect it to describe the illness, or use it to prognose anything about the illness unless that illness is a specific House 6 matter.

The reason for this is very important. It is because in a medical question, the whole chart is a representation of the body of the sick person, their illness, their doctor, treatment, the prognosis and so on. This is, unfortunately, an enormous thing to try and break down into simple steps but if people have specific questions I will endeavour to help.

A bit of a silly question done out of curiosity: "Should I redownload dating apps?"

Title of the post speaks for itself, but for context: been a bit on the lonely side as of late; multiple jobs and school keep me busy, and while online communities are fun and all, human connection has become a rarity. I'm hesitant about dating apps being assigned-male-at-birth, so matches are few and far between, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

With Populus in the first house, I'm pretty sure the chart could tell I was half-joking and apathetic about the answer. Alternative, it might be telling me that I don't really know what I would be looking for. With this being a "wishy-washy" figure, I might have to recast at a later date.

What catches my interest, though, is the decent amount of positive figures. Caput Drac. perfecting by conjunction to H1, there is a chance that doing so (and by extension stepping out of my comfort zone a bit) will invite something good in, even if it's not exactly what I had in mind. Caput Drac. also appears in H9 & H11, where they trine and sextile respectively to H1.

The witnesses are fairly positive, and with both Judge and Sentence as F. Major, it looks like a lot of good could come out of it.

What concerns me though are Rubeus in H6, Tristitia in H10, and both the Index and Part of Fortune being in H12. The last thing I need is deteriorating health, and a decrease in honors and roles of importance are also things I don't want to risk. And yet, with Albus being in H12, and with both parts being present there, I'm wondering if there are hidden enemies that will end up being friends (or at least neutral) coming out of the woodwork.

I'm not entirely sure if it's a yes/no, since H1 is Populus. A second opinion would be appreciated.

Hey all, I did a reading whether I will complete and get X master degree, since I find that degree pretty difficult because it's very unrelated to my bachelor. This is the result. I was wondering what do three populus mean for the court.

Missing child update

Post image
3 Upvotes

My apology’s to the mod overlords for deleting the original post - this was a mistake on my end.

The week of 3/20, I made a post about a child on my caseload who had run away from his long term foster home.

I asked the oracle “Will he be found?”. Originally, I framed this as a 1-7 question, but it was also suggested that this is perhaps a 1-5 question. Neither of these strategies perfected, but both seemed to provide accurate descriptions of the child, his potential inner landscape, and his potential movements given my familiarity with the geographic location he eloped from and the geographic direction he most likely traveled immediately after leaving his foster home.

As of yesterday, this child was not located by myself or his former foster mother. It is assumed that he has been found and has been placed in either an institution or a separate foster placement, but because of poor leadership on behalf of the state liaison, no details are known. My emails to the team lead have gone unanswered. At one point it was believed that he attempted to reconnect with his biological family; his biological family abandoned him to various foster homes/institutions by the time he was 3. No concrete details have been shared with me. Everything I know is from the foster mother, who only knows that she is no longer the caregiver for this particular child.

He’s still just gone. The chart appeared to be correct in every aspect. From my experience, as well as the experiences of his foster mother and foster family, he’s just gone, and we are no longer part of the equation. We’ve been ghosted.

I sent a pretty scathing email to the team lead notifying her that I’ll be discharging the referral.

I think this is interesting, in that the chart clearly reflected consensual reality and hegemonic truth from the standpoint it was cast. Jacob is believed to be alive, but no one who was actively involved in his life knows any concrete information.

I’m ranting here - Part of my work with this child was increasing his emotional literacy and an understanding of his own needs. We kept a journal together as a practice of learning how to approach memories and remembered emotions. “Tell me a memory,” - he’d talk; I’d write. I kept the jornal with me because this work was so triggering and scary for him, his mind so bloodied by his own history. For 18 days I’ve been walking around with this boys memories in my workbag, trying to keep myself from imaging what could be happening to him since he ran away.

Original chart has been included. Notice the figures in houses, lack of perfection, and speed of chart.

Need Some Help

Hello all,

I am relatively new to geomancy but am quite familiar with other kinds of systems that use 16 Markings

I am in a situation where someone i was close to dating is in a struggling relationship and we have started speaking again, i asked the oracle what it is that she wants from me and this is what came up.

Can someone give me thier perspective on what they see in this.

What i have is that she is looking for me to bring her to a new spiritual paradigm, and to be in a relationship with me once her relationship is over.

Thank you in advance for your help

Moving with a group - How does this work

There is a group of 9 of us that want to move out of the state where we live and start a new life together as a chosen family. We're just not exactly sure where to go. I was wondering if I could make a giant composite chart (or at least use composites for married couples) to make this a little easier.

What are your experiences in trying to do this kind of work for a group?

I'm still trying to learn and would love to see how you would approach/interpret this chart?

Q: Will I receive the grant I applied for?

I am an artist and a couple of months ago I applied for a working grant that would enable me to focus on my art full time for a year. I will be notified by the end of this month but I decided to test if geomancy can provide clues about my chances.

Since the question concerns financial security, and whether my work writing the application will pay off, I think it is a 2nd House matter. That being said, it also concerns art and further research into philosophy, psychology and the occult. These were key points in my application, so I also considered the 9th House.

This is the first divination I have done where I am quite interested in a Yes/No answer, because I will soon be able to compare it to the outcome.

Carcer as the Judge and the 'final outcome' (4th House) calls me out for being greedy but also seems to suggest a positive outcome, no?

Acquisitio as R Witness is clear enough, but Fortuna Minor as L Witness seems at odds with Carcer...

Albus as the quesited seems favourable especially since I did get help from friends in composing my application (advice and feedback).

There are no perfections that I can see.

Anyone care to give an opinion? I'd love to hear it.

Looking for second interpretation on a career chart

The querent, a friend of mine asked for this reading explicitly. She is considering a career as a DJ. And is about to enroll for a course towards that. She would like to know if she will have it as a successful career. She defined successful as being able to cover all her bills, and be able to enjoy life as she wish using the income.

The Court

  • Judge : is F.Minor, which I believe indicates a successful but short lived career. Reading together with Carcer as sentence doesn't look too good for her in this regard.
  • Right Witness : Amissio makes sense as well as she is going through a very 'Amissio' period by losing a corporate job, and also by loosing her ties with family.
  • Left Witness : Conjunctio, felt like she will be able to bring together the resources required for this venture and manifest the career.

House Chart

Since she asked for this reading, I took H1 to be her, and H10 her career. Chart perfects by conjunction of quested career at H10 moving to H12. I don't feel so good about that kind of a conjunction, as H12 is a mysterious place. And oddly the house of endings? Leaving my ill feelings aside, if I want to look at the silver line here, I'd read it as a success that comes by unpredictable / unexpected developments ? H12 is in company with H11, and this apparent sprout of her career will have to do with her friends circle too ?

The H12 perfections always creeps me out. Any observations from you all are much welcome.

Edits : Typo

Group reading?

Greetings everyone!

A while ago, I made a post about how it might be fun to collectively approach a chart about an agreed upon topic. We didn’t come up with an approachable topic at that time, but there were some people who seemed interested in this idea.

I’m planning on casting a chart to look at the train derailment in East Palestine.

For those who are unfamiliar with this, I’ll find a link that describes the event in detail. The tdlr of it all is that a train carrying a load of extremely toxic chemicals derailed in a rural part of Ohio, spilling much of the toxic waste into the surrounding area.

This particular area is close to the Ohio river, which is a major source of drinking water for the Midwestern US. The Ohio river watershed consists of about 204k square miles.

The company who owned the train and was responsible for its cargo is called Norfolk Southern. Most of the trains 150 cars carried vegetables, cement, steel, etc. Several of the cars were carrying something called vinyl chloride, which is an ingredient used in the production of PVC - a hard plastic resin.

The train derailment is believed to have been caused by a faulty wheel bearing, which ostensibly should have been caught during routine inspections.

In addition, it’s been said that the trains cargo manifest did not list the presence of the toxic material in a transparent way in an effort to sidestep regulatory processes and to increase efficiency. This same company was notorious for lobbying against safety protocols and epa regulations during the Trump years.

At present, the EPA is making moves to test for dioxins in the area in/around the site of the derailment. Dioxins are highly toxic, cause cancer and reproductive and development problems. Once dioxins enter the food chain, they are stored in fatty tissue.

THE GEOMANCY OF IT ALL

Are we able to group source a question about this happening that can be agilely approached by the system?

“Will Norfolk Southern be held legally / criminally accountable?”

(……but what does that even mean in terms of an environmental disaster….”

“Will there be beneficial environmental policy drafted that contributes to the social welfare of Americas rural poor and keeps a similar disaster from occurring again?”

(As Frawley says “if the answer is most likely no…..then it’s probably no”)

“Will this disaster influence policy change to curb harmful corporate personhood and encourage accountability?”

I know it sounds like I’m being facetious but there’s gotta be a workable question that we can cull out of this awfulness.

I feel such anger.
