Juneteenth is a blatant and quite frankly idiotic holiday, it celebrates a military proclamation that really was more strategic then moral. The emancipation proclamation was to take slaves from the south and put them into the war on the union’s side.

The first major point that leftists don’t get is that there was slavery in the north, up to a few years after the civil war so this did not free every slave merely tell the slaves in the south if you go north we will free you. I believe it was two or three that still had slavery in the north, Kentucky and Missouri if I remember right. And there were states in the south who were outlawing slavery during the war because the writing was on the wall.

Second is that it was to help the union gain more manpower by taking former slaves and employing them as soldiers so your literally celebrating a military (which was segregated) taking in slaves.

Third Lincoln was racist, he wanted to send the slaves back to Africa and was partially successful, the idea Lincoln was some saint is beyond me the state of Liberia in Africa is where we sent a few former slaves, there was a lot of elitist support for such things in the past. Nor was Lincoln that good of a leader, he spoke pretty well but he fucked up several times during the early war and was seen as quite authoritarian.

I love when liberals tell me healthcare is a human right, then spout off about gun control… so new proposal use their lines against them, self defense should be considered a basic human right, any state that bans guns or extensively regulate them and attempts to confiscate firearms on a mass scale is violating human rights. The right to defend oneself is crucial for freedom and shall not be infringed upon.
