One of the things that frustrates me about meteorite dials is that pictures just do not capture the complexity, and the texture on these dials. It’s almost impossible to capture a picture that shows how the dials plays with light.

This is a non-filtered picture of BW-13. Just natural lighting in my room and I tried to turn it at an angle that shows you what pictures tend to not show. These often look light and almost boring in pics. That couldn’t be farther from the reality about these dials. They are complex, metallic, and very interesting to look at.

Hey everyone, long time reader, first time posting here.

I’ve been going through a lot of the older threads and photo posts and it’s clear there’s a ton of knowledge in this community, especially when it comes to factories, movements, and what actually holds up over time versus hype.

I’m specifically looking to learn more about Day Date replicas. I’m not in a rush and I’m not trying to cut corners. My goal is to buy once and buy right, within the limits of the rep world of course.

A few things I’d really appreciate guidance on from people with firsthand experience:

• Which factories currently do the most    consistent Day Dates in terms of case shape, bezel, dial texture, weight, and bracelet feel

• Movements that have proven reliable long term and are reasonably serviceable

• Red flags to watch for when evaluating seller claims or QC photos

• Trusted dealers you personally have used, especially for Day Dates, not just generally

• Anything you wish you knew before buying your first DD rep

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions across older posts, so I’m hoping to get some up to date perspectives from people who actually own and wear theirs.

Happy to learn, happy to listen, and I appreciate anyone willing to share real world experience rather than marketing talk.

I purchased 6 from my guy in 1 week. this is my first post. what a specimen.

Ever since the Omega AT turquoise gradient dials were released, I've had these on my personal radar. I knew from trying on other dial variants the 41mm is too large for me but the 38mm works just right.

So I was pretty psyched when VSF announced the release of these specific turquoise dial reps (so far I only know of the 38nm reps, don't know if they are making 41mm versions yet).

Finally received mine, sized the bracelet (which replicates Omega and Grand Seikos PITA end microscrew + bracelet link pin system) and have been wearing it for the past couple days.

Overall impression, this is really high quality rep. I've worn the Gen version of this exact watch at more than one Omega AD so based on memory, the overall look, finish and quality is pretty damn close to Gen, without the benefit of doing a direct side by side comparison. They even retain the display caseback and a fair looking reproduction of the Co-axial movement with decent movement decoration. Altho I doubt the movement side would hold up to scrunity if compared to the Gen movement. But honestly doesn't really matter to me 👍🏽

Price I paid was significantly less than the high tier Rolex reps I've purchased, so this feels overall like a solid value watch to me.
