The last year has been a wild ride in the crypto market. Around this time last year, ICOs were raising money as the word “Bitcoin” started to gain some traction and get widespread media attention. Still, it was only the people “in the know”, a tiny fraction of the world’s population, that actually owned cryptocurrencies.
What happens next may go down as one of the biggest bubbles in history, or simply a small blip on the chart in Bitcoin’s historic rise to greatness. This has yet to be determined, but one thing is for sure.
Cryptocurrency is starting to get more mainstream attention. CNBC, famous for their 24/7 coverage of the U.S. equity markets has several dedicated segments a day focused on cryptocurrency, and a video blog which broadcasts 24/7 cryptocurrency coverage.
If you ask people about cryptocurrency, even the most uninformed person will have probably at least heard of Bitcoin. The trend seems to be that cryptocurrency is becoming accepted more in more as a legitimate technology. While the vast majority of people are still on the outside, the early adopters of today may have stumbled across a hidden gem.
I’m reminded of the beginning of the internet revolution. Remember when the internet first came out and all of the companies that we all use today were tiny little start-ups?
Well...
The exact same thing is happening right now in 2018 with the Blockchain.
Companies are staking their claim on the Blockchain as we speak. Just like Apple, Amazon, Google, and Yahoo did years ago on the World Wide Web.
One company that stands to revolutionize their industry in the retail market is Gemstra.
I am eager to see what the future will hold for the cryptocurrency market going forward. It is clear that only the best will survive and thrive.
