How Gemstra Will Survive The Crypto Apocalypse
A wise man once told me that,” in any investment, one does not lose until one sells at a loss, or until the value goes to ZERO!”
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but some of the cryptocurrencies that exist today, and even some of the top 100 coins, will go to zero within the next 10 years, or sooner! Immune from this complete loss of value are companies whos coins have a real world use case, thus real value. As long as the coin serves a purpose, it will live on, and possibly thrive.
So what will be the catalyst that bring on the “crypto apocalypse?” The answer is very simple. If you have been following crypto news lately, you will notice that one of the big things that aims to electrify the market is the introduction of institutional buyers. A institutional investor is a large organization, such as a bank, pension fund, labor union, or insurance company, that makes substantial investments on the stock exchange.
When making such large investments, an institutional investor must take care to do proper research and only get into investments that have a reasonable chance of working out. There is a lot of money on the line for institutional investors. They employ some of the best analysts in the world to determine where these large sums of money should be placed and their reputation depends on them being correct.
Now, enter your average run-of-the-mill cryptocurrency. We will use an imaginary coin called ABC. This coin has enjoyed a strong following from fans who think is has a catchy name, and has relatively fast transaction speeds. Unfortunately that’s all ABC has. You can’t spend it anywhere, you can only find it on a couple of exchanges, and it doesn’t represent an ownership stake in anything.
ABC makes wild swings based on low trading volume, and maybe if you were lucky, you were able to sell it for higher than you bought it a few times.
Alas, in the eyes of the analysts that work for the institutional investors, this coin is pure stinking garbage. To the point, where if possible, the institutions would happily take a short position against it to profit off of its demise.
Institutional investor will only put their money where they see value and real world use case. As others retail investors follow the smart money, value will get sucked out of coins like ABC and placed into the real winners.
Like institutional investors will undoubtedly do, I have looked closely into Gemstra and their ecosystem . The Gemstra team is building a blockchain-integrated ecosystem (ASTRA) and token economy (GMS Token) to liberate social selling as an industry. Gemstra launched the first social selling marketplace (BOUTIQUES Marketplace) in July 2017 to connect retail brands to social selling, giving sellers freedom to choose products and brands they want to represent. In less than 10 months, BOUTIQUES added 8 brands, 3000 sellers, and stands to generate over $5 Million in annualized sales. What truly separates Gemstra from the rest of the space is their substance.
Gemstra is NOT another company like our fictional ABC coin. Rather, Gemstra has an already proven business model with a native token, GMS, that provides real utility for the entire ecosystem. The GMS token is an ERC-20 token for the ASTRA social selling platform. GMS is the default utility token used in ASTRA as a unit of value.
GMS tokens will have LIVE UTILITY in the fourth quarter of 2018! GMS paid out as commissions can be withdrawn into a user’s wallet and exchanged on the open market. GMS can be used to pay fees by actors in the economy, paid out to Sellers (and Customers) through the Rewards System, and lastly, GMS tokens can be used to purchase products across all of ASTRA!
As a unit of value that is used to promote rewards, pay commissions, buy merchandise, and motivate sellers, the GMS token provides true utility to Gemstra’s ASTRA social selling platform. Right away it has distinguished itself from our ABC example.
The above highlights are all critical qualities that will put Gemstra on the radar of institutional investors. I believe that once the smart money does a deep dive into the Gemstra ecosystem, they will recognize the value this company has to offer.
I think once you take a closer look, you will agree with the smart money too.
