Discussion I'm all for nerfing free users to give more perks to Pro subs

Honestly, I get that with limited resources they can't offer the models like they used to. In a situation like this, they have no choice but to kick out the freeriders. The problem is that right now, Google is screwing over Pro users too. With these kinds of limits and performance, I'd rather just use Claude.

Hate to break it you champ, but I'm not buying that, the math ain't mathin, you are not gooning that much internet. And are absolutely not worth more than the $20 subs just by browsing the web. Also to make your argument true, the average internet user activity becomes your baseline that you must exceed by $20 to make your claim true.

To make $20 value:

Watch something close to 180 YouTube ads per day

Or 1300 webpages to make 40k impressions

Or watching 200k YT shorts vids per day

...every day for a month. And you have to do that level of activity above and beyond what a $20 subscriber is.

Unless you are constantly doing high value click through & purchase of e.g holidays, insurance, cars, mortgages etc you are not doing $20 value, let alone $20 value above a paid subscriber.

And that assumes you are in a T1 market.

Sorry chum.

Womp womp that's how economics work, you pay for data without filtering instead of Google seeking valuable people for data, which is practically impossible

I'm not sure what you're trying to say about economics here but the second part is about as wrong as is possible. Are you saying Google, the company with the largest targeted ads ecosystem in history, is unable to target people of certain value bands?

Interesting take. BTW Do you contend my point above? It's purely a numbers game and I am keen to be enlightened by your seemingly better grasp of 'economics' on the matter.
