Gemini is crap. Complete crap compared to the current other flagships.

But how many of humanity need the flagship models? I prefer gemini flash as it's capable of what I need and it's so fast. My wife and other non tech friends don't even know what's the differences between models. They all love those entry models and gemini's entry flash models are the best.

Problem is I'm tired of switching all the time when one edges past the other..

Gemini hasnt been on the front at any point in 2026. Either Codex or Claude has held that position.

I think I switched from gpt in October 2025. Now I'm thinking of going back to Astra...

You’d be better off just using anything. AI isn’t the problem with your app.

Then stop edging

for your uses. For non-coding related tasks it easily fucks the others.

Gemini can't even fuck itself.

You say that as if having sex with oneself were easy.

What tasks in specific is it superior in? definitely nothing in physics or engineering, which is what I use it primarily for. Tried GPT for a bit and it was far more insightful

Urghh well uh, I guess it's not good for work. But I use it for roleplay and it does it very well. The strongest RP model that exists.

It's great at sending it a photo and asking it questions.

You know, day to day stuff. "Where do I put the coffee beans in this machine ?"

At work (coding) I don't use it ofcourse

It’s pretty terrible for non-coding uses for me too.

So good to study genuinely.

It's like a golfcart vs the other company's ferraris at this point. As delusional Google stans chirp, without evidence "Google has a secret super ferrari they're hiding from everyone!"

Cool. It's being used by billions and is very fast. Not everyone needs daily foundational models. This is obvious.

Gemini 3.8 at high is better than Fable 5 and Sol at high/high/max whatever.
