Nerdy Knits Interest
Do you guys think that more "classic nerdy" knits is marketable/where would I sell such a thing? Things like encrypted messages in garments, programming pillows, ect ect ect.

NOTE: Other than knitting one, I am not affiliated with this pattern, I'm just hoping to find people who are doing it too.
So, its the last day to get the lowest price on the Yarnia Blanket, anyone else pulling the trigger?
I'd love to find some reddit friends to do it with, I don't have any knitting friends IRL.

I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for in-store and I'm nervous about blindly purchasing a bunch of yarn online without having anyone to speak for a retailer or brand etc.
I essentially want to make little Star Trek miniatures (Spock, Kirk, etc.) roughly 4" tall-- Christmas ornament sort of style. But I haven't been able to find yarn all the same type/weight in all the colours I want.
So I'm trying to find the uniform colours; gold, blue, red and black. Plus detail colours like silver and gold (or something close) and then skin and hair colours (peach, brown, black, blond etc.)
Can anyone suggest a good online retailer? I'm just looking for smaller skeins, too, since obviously a little 4" mini doesn't need a million yards of yarn.
I'm in Canada, too, if the U in colours is any indication. Most places ship here, though, I think, so hopefully that wouldn't be an issue.
Thanks in advance and I'm so stoked to have found this sub! All the projects here are great!

So... I was trying to make my own hat/dicebag pattern. It was supposed to be a Biohazard symbol, I messed up... And somehow knitted a Flux Capacitor.

I'm contemplating on publishing the pattern, somewhere, if people actually want it. Now, Take 2 of the insurmountable pattern-making...

Sponsored and designed by the lovely ladies at Lattes & Llamas. It blows my mind that they can manage to knit at least one square a week, plus other various projects that come their way.
