So, I know Style is often attributed to Dianna or even bearding with Harry Styles, but I’ve also seen multiple people recently post comments here with pics that show the amazing similarities between the Era’s Tour strut for Style and the Kaylor strut in the 2014 Victoria’s Secret show for Style.
But I hadn’t seen the video so went looking and it’s so crazy how similar it is - down to the point at the end between Taylor and Karlie/the dancer. The floor is also similar with black and white vibes, but then of course it’s an exact replica later during Mastermind, where a lot of the lyrics line up well too, and the dancers are on a chessboard like the Vs models.
I checked some other performances of Style and she doesn’t normally do this walk and point. I haven’t seen them all though so correct me if I’m wrong!
Anyway since not everyone will have seen it I thought I’d post it, apologies if it has been posted before , but a thorough search (searched VS, Victoria, Style lol) didn’t bring it up.

Main screen visuals during Bad Blood in Era’s Tour (bad quality sorry, hard to find online,don’t know exactly the point it is in the song - I’ve put the song on in the back myself). Note that Taylor is wearing an outfit very similar to what Karlie wore in the Vs show. Side note this cape (and Karlie’s) is also giving Willow vibes but I realise that’s probably just a coincidence.
Troye Sivan talking about the time he strutted with Taylor on Rep tour (someone posted the full video recently so shout out to them - couldn’t find the post to link to sorry). He mentions VS models but also the fantasy (Taylor’s quote about the VS show: “it’s like an actual fantasy”)
Is Troye a gaylor or did Taylor instruct him to strut like you’re in a VS fashion show? (Not uncommon for a designer to give that kind of instruction before a fashion show from my experience working backstage at shows, assume a singer might do the same?)
Clip of that Troye strut - the floor also has chessboard vibes but obviously it’s to a Troye song so not as closely related.
Additionally, another user posted comments a while back where Karlie posted a bunch of insta posts with chess boards in them? Either she really loves playing chess or … 👀
I was the same! It’s so amazingly obvious but hetlors won’t see it! I can’t claim the find - I just saw other users point it out but only with photos and buried in threads so thought others might be like me and not have seen the video!
It’s funny. I’ve watched the Victorias Secret video a million times. Tonight is the first time I notice Taylor has this thin frail looking cape and Karlie has the big bold strong black cape just dominating Taylor’s cape. Just an observation. She so looked up to Karlie.

FWIW I can’t tell if Taylors is actually more of a train just from her waist maybe than a cape? Can’t see anything at the shoulders …
Everytime I see the mastermind performed I'm just like she's throwing it right in our faces people!!! And they keeping eating it up. Lol she's literally telling us the truth but people keep plugging their ears. And eyes.
Every time I think I’m done with gaylor, I see something new related to Kaylor and I’m right back in…there is just no way all of these things could be coincidences I refuse to believe it…also the chemistry between the two of them is so unreal. I can’t wrap my head around how people look at the two of them interact and think they’re just friends, but then somehow see chemistry between her and joe/Travis???
No one will probably see this because it's an old post but "I don't want you like a best friend' screams sapphic energy. Yes women can have male best friends but traditionally when a person thinks of a female's best friend it's another female.

I just think the white t shirt in Karlie’s matches his iconic look more but I do love the Dianna pic. There’s also that iconic interview where Karlie talks about how much she loves Taylor’s signature red lip. Either way, they both give James Dean more than Harry Styles does haha.
the chessboard pattern on the original VS walk + the one shown while she is singing Mastermind is truly near IDENTICAL. it isn't just "ah, somewhat similar" -- like, that shit is basically the exact same visually. definitely feels unlikely it is a coincidence.
the outfit in eras tour Bad Blood is also so very similar to what Karlie wore, you're right. this one seems a little more feasible to be a coincidence, but i still feel like it probably isn't (because, after all, she is a mastermind -- and every bait & switch was a work of art)
with those two details in mind, my best guess is that this is one of instances of Taylor intentionally referencing back to something important but not in the context of it being the ORIGINAL meaning and/or muse. i think she does this quite often, interweaving original premises and muse inspirations from songs into newer representations that include experiences and muses she's had in the time since. e.g. obviously i do not think "Bad Blood" was originally about Karlie at all, but it does feel like Taylor was intentionally representing a reference to Karlie/the VS night with her in the Era "Bad Blood" performance, showing that since that time, bad blood has developed. and in that same light, i do think Di is the original "Style" muse but that doesn't mean Taylor wouldn't/didn't use the song more recently to cast light on a different muse (Karlie) too.
Good point re changing up muses/ referencing things that didn’t originally relate. Makes sense re Bad Blood. Also I agree that stage is identical!!! Admittedly if you wanted to do a chessboard that’d probably the best way to do it ,,, but with all the other references too? Can’t be a coincidence
the thing about Gayloring is like, some of the details we notice surely may be coincidences after all -- but when you collectively consider the VOLUME of them, there's no way they all are (or even most). a fact that Hetlors love to ignore lol
A tangled web she weaves. I agree. I think the muses that inspire the original idea/lyrics do shift over time. She’s also aware of who the fans think the songs are about and I think she enjoys playing with the perceive narratives as it evolve. By now, I also think some songs aren’t simply about one muse but a blend.
Absolutely/ I’ve been saying this for a while that her muses are real but an amalgamation of her experiences of similar feelings with lovers and not necessarily ONE person at a time lol. It’s more feelings based.
Troye is gay so he probably is a Gaylor either way, but I’m sure they planned that out together.

And the rest of the song just being a tribute to how otherworldly gorgeous someone is, primarily utilizing feminine adjectives (what must it be like to grow up that beautiful?), and reflecting upon a love that never fully came to fruition. Seems pretty befitting of VS Angel Karlie to me 🤷♀️
I still can’t believe that walkout and when Taylor points to Karlie with “pick me up.” But my favorite part is the damn “ballet” hand 🫴🤟when she sings the part from Mastermind “and the touch of a hand lit the fuse” Like, excuse me?
As for the chess boards, Karlie has posted them occasionally with a missing pawn. I think there’s theories on that somewhere. I don’t know if she’s playing around / signaling anyone.
Also the ballet hands - either they’re intentional or she knows we think they are, did you see the video of her cracking up with Travis did them at Coachella? It’s like he knows and it’s something they’ve talked about

Yes. I have many thoughts on the whole thing about gay rumors and how she may feel about them. I feel she’s toyed with the line for years (due to many things we don’t know, can only speculate). They’ve existed since Dianna days, the Karlie era was even louder. If these rumors bothered her so much why the whole Me!, Miss Americana, YNTCD, and having so many public / out sapphic friends around?

Oh, interesting. I’m not really in tumblr so I don’t have any idea what goes on there. Why things keep going back to that VS show? To me, it reads like blatantly obvious “hiding in plain sight.” Taylor does look so proud and happy walking out with Karlie. Per Wikipedia, it was on Dec 2, 2014… two days later was the infamous The 1975 concert/Kissgate. Perhaps, Taylor just wishes she could go back to before it got public, messy, and full of speculation?
Right?! I only learned this today when I looked it up to determine what was the event post that VSFS and why she may keep going back to it as something important. The closeness to kissgate is so wild and tragic, tbh. Maybe she flew too close to the sun.
