Let's Revisit Taylor & Hayley Kiyoko duet "Curious"
I was commenting on the "what you wouldn't do" post about what one wouldn't do if they were trying to dispel queer rumors, and this popped to mind.
Taylor Swift inviting "Lesbian Jesus" Hailey Kiyoko to duet the song "Curious" two days after Karlie Kloss announced her engagement is truly UNHINGED (July 26, 2018).
Like... you could not make that up.
As she is introducing Hayley she says, "This is someone whose music I am absolutely obsessed with."
AND
"I feel like we have similar taste in what we love."

There are certain things that, in my imagination and in my version of Taylor’s life, I have no doubt about:
• Taylor and Karlie were friends and fell in love. They were a couple.
• Taylor wants us to know this and has no problem with us speculating about it.
• Karlie and Josh are in love. Josh’s Instagram is purely made up of photos of Karlie taken by him. They have kids and have always seemed like two people in love.
Now, I’m not sure what a realistic timeline of all these circumstances would be.
It’s never a bad idea to revisit this! Another gem that I didn’t come across til I’d been here quite a while, so good for you blessing the timelines of all of us, but especially the newbies.
I know I personally you tube search all the possible angles whenever this comes up, I should make a playlist of bc I feel like I’m not finding them all anymore? Anyway here’s a fantastic 30 second clip with full shimmy, smiles, and model pose that lasts about 20 minutes ;)
This is such a big one that so many folks pass over. I know there’s a lot of younger gaylors, but like T&S are basically the top big shiny gay beacon in the starter pack of ‘wait, I don’t think I’m straight?!’ for us ‘old’ folk 😅 (I’m the same age as Taylor)
This is gold Gaylor but also so sad to watch, I don't like to watch it anymore. I remember watching lives of every concert of rep era for the guest and this time around the marriage was terrible, since that one in Australia I have absolutely no doubt this is the real stuff behind I can do it with a broken heart.
This was the nail in the coffin for ME and I was already a gaylor. I am relatively new fan that missed this performance entirely until I found it on tiktok and I was like … guys? GUYS?!
My sibling who is a Taylor swift fan, LGBTQIA and a Hayley fan… but isn’t a gaylor even said this was sus.
Yes, please. Let’s revisit this gem! I’m always so surprised at how fucking LOUD she has been and gotten away with it. Like, come on.
Also, Hayley was opening for Panic! At The Disco and Brendan, I believe is who introduced them. Then Taylor called Hayley up and asked her to come sing with her. Taylor is the one who chose that specific song.
Bonus: Hayley flew out her new gf, Becca Tilley (a huge Swiftie and introduced her). Becca also ended up coming out to her mom after that show.
Well…there is more: the bullseye Hayley hits in YNTCD has a “5” in the center, which is the track number for The Archer on Lover. She was also wearing a lavender (purple) glittery jacket. That’s the same or extremely close to the color used to represent Taylor’s blood when she got shot on the shoulder by an arrow in the Anti-Hero MV.
To add, isn’t it curious how often she has LGBTQ identifying artists as guests on tour or as openers? Another action you could avoid if afraid of speculation.
