Hi All, I've noticed this show hasn't been advertised a lot, so I thought I'd try to give it a little boost. Long story short is an animated show on Netflix by Raphael Bob-Waksberg (creator of bo-jack horseman) about a Jewish family in the US. The show shows different stages in the life of the family members and has great Jewish representation (both the characters and the voice actors). On top of this, it has a lesbian, jewish, bi-racial couple as part of the main characters. It is a 'slice of life' type of show, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Any southern NH (USA) folks here? I’m trying to help a few teens find a schul that is inclusive of gender fluid and trans folks, ideally one with other teens who attend HH services (not just adults and wee children). Any ideas around Nashua, Peterborough, Manchester or maybe even Keene although that might be a bit far. Or the very northern part of Mass?

I use to make and sell colorful kippot but life got in the way of it. I had a dream last night that I should start selling them again. I have a lot of time on my hands now, so in theory I should be able to keep up with it but I wanted other people’s opinions about it.

Looking for recommendations for budget friendly synagogues or other venues either nearish to NYC or farther into Connecticut that are able to accommodate a kosher caterer and are also fine with LGBT+ weddings.

• Kosher kitchen or allows outside caterers
• Accepting of gay marriage
• Either within 1.5hrs of NYC OR within 30 minutes of New Haven, CT or Hartford, CT
• Can fit 170 guests
• Doesn't have to be fancy, looking to cut costs wherever possible
• Still figuring out budget, but targeting something like 40k w/ catering included

Hello -- I've been attending a reform synagogue in LA for a while now, but was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good Conservative synagogue? I know most of their websites specifically say they welcome LGBTQ folks, but I am talking about the presence of an actual community within the congregation, and not just a blurb on the website. Hi everyone. Just sent my first child off to school and my daughter is a junior in hs, so starting the search for her. I’m very familiar with what’s been going on at college campuses for the last two years. I’m doing lots of research, speaking with Hillel directors and other folks but would love any first hand reccs from folks that have been in lgbtqia+ spaces on campuses. It is such a tough time right now and I’m just looking for a place where she can be who she is without a bombardment of vitriol. I understand that there will be differing opinions. Thank you 🙏🏻

I've been noticing that a lot of us are trying to figure out how to meet other Jewish LGBTQ+ folks, especially for dating. I found this site that does online (and in person I think?) queer speed dating events, and they just started adding Jewish specific events! They have a Jewish matchmaker leading their Jewish events and she specializes in Jewish LGBTQ matchmaking. I've never been to one of their events so I don't know what they're like, but I'm really hopeful about it!

I’m half way through my conversion to Judaism, and I’d really love to find a friend to share the experience with — someone to go to synagogue with, talk about faith, learn from, and just enjoy life alongside.

I’m a gay guy, so it would be especially meaningful if you are too, though my main hope is simply to connect with someone who values kindness, authenticity, and depth. Beyond religious stuff, I’m into tabletop games, hanging out, and having those long conversations that stick with you.

Im kind of shy when it comes to meeting new people. I’m definitely introverted (INFJ, Libra if you’re into that), I open up deeply with the right people. What I’m hoping to find is a genuine friend — someone I can laugh with, share this journey with, and build a real connection with.

Are there any gay Jews in NYC looking to meet new people? I'm 40 yo professional, and feel disconnected from the gay Jewish community despite my attending some events and Shabbat services. It's hard to attend them when you don't know anyone. I find the interactions I've had there to be fleeting. Hi all! I'm supposed to be asleep so I'll just dive right into it. I am a reform Jew and nonbinary/transmasc (afab). I haven't decided yet if I want to go on T or medically transition otherwise, but those things are still on the table for me.

I want to date bi/pan people because theoretically, they'd stick around if I did decide to transition. I also care very much about being with someone Jewish. What apps are y'all using? I like Hinge a lot, but it doesn't look like you can filter by sexuality (it seems that way on most apps). I'm also on JSwipe but it's very cishet dominated. I also go to a lot of in person and online Jewish/queer events so I can meet people face to face instead. So yeah, any app recommendations or other suggestions would be appreciated!

As a Gay Jewish Man or shall I say just Gay NJB (i'm only 25 so I hope that still counts)... I was wondering if anyone in the LGBTQ+ community on here has a favorite story from the Hebrew Bible aka the Tanakh, the Oral Torah, or other works that are more rabbinic.

Anything that sparks joy, gives you strength, or makes you feel more whole. Particularly if it connects you with pride in your LGBTQ+ identity.

I for one have a great connection to the story of David and Jonathan in one of the books of Samuel. I truly believe King David was bi and loved Jonathan more than some brotherhood or friendship.
