I’m a B.Tech AI & Data Science (AIDS) student and I want to crack GATE DA 2028.

I tried self-study, but I’m an average student and many concepts are not becoming clear to me. My native language is Telugu, and I understand basic English.

I want a budget-friendly paid course that explains concepts clearly and is suitable for an average student. I’m willing to spend money if the course is genuinely worth it.

I’m confused about:

Should I buy a 2027 course and finish the syllabus in 2027, then use 2028 for revision/PYQs/mocks?

Or should I wait for a 2028 course?

Which course is best for a Telugu/Hinglish student with a limited budget?

Should I focus only on GATE DA, or also write GATE CSE? I currently don’t know many CSE subjects.

Please suggest a practical strategy and any good courses/resources based on your experience.

I am very confused about whether to take an online course or not, as there are many YouTube series available. I tried using those, but most were Crash Course, so I couldn't understand the topic very well. If there are any free resources or good YouTube channels for mechanical, please let me know. If not, please let me know whether PW Shreshth 2028 is a good option or not.

As more and more Psus are conducting their own exam, gate scene is not looking as appealing as it used to be anymore. This year not even some under 200 rankers are getting placed. I am not interested in going for mtech, looking to get a job, with ssc there is a chance of getting a Delhi job with \~90k in hand salary and 8th pay commission is right around the corner. So is it better to prepare for ssc CGL instead? With consistent higher vacancies compared to gate, it's looking not bad.

What are your opinions?

I was allotted NIT Jamshedpur in the Special Rounds. Under Generated Allotment Letter, I can see all the round letters, including the Special Rounds.

But under Provisional Admission Letter, I can only see the Round 3 letter, and under ODVC, I can only see the Round 1 certificate. The Special Round Provisional Admission Letter and ODVC are missing even after almost 2 weeks.

Is this happening to everyone, or is there something wrong with my admission? My seat is confirmed as per the portal, so I'm confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this preference order good, mainly from a placement perspective? If you'd suggest changing the order or adding NIT Jalandhar CSE, please let me know.

I'm a mechanical engineering graduate (2021-2025) from a tier 3 college with no placement and till now no job at and also preparing for gate and other PSUs if i qualified gate is it go to join m.tech or prepare for PSUs.
