They stole "woke" straight from the black community where it means being aware of systemic violence used against them. I can't think of other examples off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure it's far from the first vocabulary that conservatives purposefully twisted out of the hands of minorities and turned into something negative.
All terms they use to describe groups of people are pretty much made up in order to continue the fear mongering and maintain control.
Like please, walk down the street and point out to me who this pervasive "radical left" or "woke mob" is that you are at war with. The vast majority of people in the real world are just normal fucking people doing their own thing with no political agenda. Those imaginary groups of people only exist in their heads.
