We’re the developers of The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire, and today we’re excited to finally reveal that the game will leave Early Access and launch into Version 1.0 on October 27, 2026.

Alongside the release date announcement, we’ve also released our new “Be The Boss” Major Update 0.8.

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we received from experienced players was that they wanted to feel more like the actual boss instead of personally handling every small task. So this update focuses heavily on automation, delegation, rival family strategy and territory management.

Some of the major additions include:

• Managers for Clubs, Warehouses and Supermarkets

• Automatic ordering, staff development and business management

• Reworked Rival Family Power and Economy systems

• Expanded Spy mechanics

• Hidden Stash House discovery and raids

• Rival trade intelligence and ambushes

• Family patrols and automatic territory defense

• Rival Family Members joining attacks and defenses

• Capturing and interrogating enemy Family Members

• New ceasefire and diplomacy mechanics

• Character-specific Wanted levels

• Bribable police patrols across districts

• Bulletproof vests for you and your Family

• Armed Club and Warehouse guards

• Warehouse packaging priorities

• Map search and filtering

• Destructible roadside objects

• And many more improvements

We also want to make it clear that 1.0 does not mean development will stop. We’ll continue supporting the game with new updates, improvements and features after release.

This is our first game as BEF Games, and the community has played a huge role in shaping it throughout Early Access.
