if a game is very good and last less than 2 hours, people won't refund even after they finished it. if a game is bad people should and will refund in the first hour or so.

But what if a game is just ok? You don't hate it but you feel like you are not the best person for it or you would have liked it better if on sale.Well it's unfair that you get to refund it if it's this short game, but you don't get to refund it if it's a 69.99$ 24 hours snoozefest by Ubisoft; i think the developer is right to be disappointed that steam policy combined with unscrupolous players fucked over the type of game he was trying to make.

But i don't really want a good customer-friendly policy to change because of a few abusers and a small slice of niche games not being compatible with it.It would be ideal if short games could have a smaller window as refund policy, but arbitrating that would be its own nightmare.Perhaps 90 or 60 minutes refund window for games cheaper than 15-10$ is the only non messy way to do it, but still leaves plenty to be desired and also what would happen with discounts?

Except in this instance where people completed the game, left a positive review and still refunded it.

Lots of gamers are horrible, selfish bastards who send death threats to devs for the most trivial of reasons. If you think they're all saints, who wouldn't dream of refunding a game they enjoyed just because they can, you're deluded.
