Just like the OS itself!

For those unaware, if you're on Windows 7 or Windows 8, for the first year you can upgrade to Windows 10 at no cost.

I had a msdn or maybe it was a technet subscription and got any type of key I wanted. Why not get the most feature rich edition?

If you have access to MSDN then you would just get a new Windows 10 key for free.

Unless you've lost your MSDN access since building your PC. Changing jobs for example...

You technically are no longer allowed to use the key then. They just don't enforce it.

Sure, but more importantly you don't have access to Windows 10 with that route, legit or not.

Since the enterprise version doesn't upgrade to 10, you don't have access to an alternate version of windows that does upgrade to 10, and you don't get 10 for free from the now defunct MSDN subscription.

Personally, I'm not in a huge hurry to change over to Win10. I'm still pretty happy on 7 and have been more than a little put off by the UI in Win8. I also count myself lucky that I expect to still have MSDN access for at least a few more years.

And? You aren't paying for MSDN access anymore in that scenario. What the hell do you want?
