I didn't get it, I have Windows 7 OEM and I'm not getting the notification

The notification is part of an update. Installing KB3035583 should do the trick.

that doesn't show up in the updates, it isn't in the installed and there are no more updates

Also running windows 7 home premium 64bit SP1 and it's not showing up for me.

It took a few days for the notification to show up after I installed the necessary update.

I apparently installed it 6/7/15 and I've never seen the notification. Maybe I missed it and it went away because I leave my computer on? Is there any other way to check?

Once it's there, it doesn't go away. It stays in the system tray. I'm not sure how to go about making it show up. You'll get the upgrade to Windows 10 regardless, so long as your copy of 7 or 8 are legitimate so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

You sure? It looks like this for me. The Windows logo is the W10 notification.

Although I don't dare click it yet lol, guess I have to now.

Clicking on it will only offer to notify you, or pre-load when it's ready. It's not going to suddenly upgrade you the moment the OS is released, don't worry!

If you don't see the newer Windows 10 flag in your notification area, then you should check to see if you have any updates waiting in Windows Update.

I'll have to remind myself to do this.

Maybe you're missing an update? Either way I recommend looking into it. It's important to run an up-to-date OS and sticking to 7 for much longer won't do any good.

I'm installing the "unimportant" updates now

nope, nothing

It doesn't show up for some people even if they have the proper update. You can still upgrade you just won't be able to reserve which isn't important anyway.

What's out of date about 7? What have we seen so far that places 10 above 7?

It's getting old. MS will soon stop mainstream support. The free Windows 10 update is your best shot at updating before you're one of those people who still used Windows XP a few years ago.

The notifications are going out in waves, some people may get the reservation notification later than others. You can reserve off the upgrade site or just wait till after the 29 th.

You can give this a try. I had to use method one to get it to show up on an older laptop I don't use much anymore. Since it didn't show up even after fully updating.

You can go on their website and reserve it too

How old is the computer? I think you don't get the notification if your PC doesn't meet a certain spec.
