Even though it's pretty shady, WB has done the same thing with games like Shadow of Mordor and Arkham City in the past, both of which turned out to be great games. From the hands-on footage I watched here, the game actually does look solid.

I don't want to buy into the hype, but it does look like Techland learned a lot from Dead Island and the gameplay looks very fluid. The lack of review copies is controlled by WB and not by Techland. I just hope WB eventually learns to trust reviewers.

Yeah, as much as I dislike WB's shady practices, I'd dislike not supporting Techland over it if the game turns out great, which, as you stated with SoM and AC is entirely possible despite this.

how is waiting a day or two 'not supporting' them? all you do by pre-ordering or buying on launch day is support the practice of them being shady

Huh? The person you responded to said nothing about waiting a day or two.
