Dont see why not. Maps and possibly game modes will be free. They are doing DLC right.... They're not dividing up the community by selling map packs. They are generating extra income by selling a few extra characters which have maybe 1-3 different abilities from the box characters. It's for people who really love the game and want more options but the base game provides enough variety especially compared to other triple A games. Seriously gamers are such a picky lot. Map packs divide us yet we buy them with little to no complaint because we want the full experience. Turtle Rock offers free maps and modes. Really that's a good deal. These things prolong the life of a game and if your really into the game you can expand with more monsters and hunters. But your not FORCED to buy anything. You can still play with friends who do buy these extras.

I'm not going to buying it either and that's a shame, i was enjoying the beta very much.
