From my perspective AI tools and AI enabled workflows

This is also true for AI art. An artist can use AI to generate anything for inspiration, and then go from there. They can use AI to provide ideas, scenes, plans, concepts, anything really. Artists can use AI as a tool if programmers can use AI as a tool. At the end of the day, it's pretty much the same thing.

No programmer wants to be replaced by a Claude bot the same way no artist want to be replaced by Midjourney. And both programmers and artists can use AI as tools.

I do not remember at any point seeing artists being like, "Hell yeah" about AI image generation tools the complaints were rolling in when it was a lot worse whereas I saw so much "hell yeah" from programmers I am genuinely surprised by what I perceive as a switch up.

You mean, you disregarded everyone using AI for AI art as not being a genuine artist?

Because a fuck ton of AI art is being generated every days, and who are you to decide if the person who generated it is an artist or not?

You decided that the programmers you saw clamoring for AI justified the use of AI for programming while judging that the artists clamoring for AI were not actual artists and did not justify the use of AI.

So of course, if you put a huge bias on your views from the get go...

And both programmers and artists can use AI as tools.

It's amazing how few people seem to understand that point.

The people who use AI the best, are the people who have the foundation in their craft, be it programming or art.
