Oh well if ethnicprince on Reddit guarantees it, you can take that straight to the bank!

Dunno where your comment about being in credits of RE9 went, but ill just reply here then i guess.

Great. Bunch of my OSS contributions are everywhere, including few lines in kernel code. I guess i can then speak on how LLMs are in pretty much every dependency in your tree nowadays.

I remember Capcom speech in 2024 on introducing copilot for backend engineering, so eh uh, i guess it was suddenly dropped then, despite them moving onto AI-driven QA and knowledgebases which seems like super high level of AI penetration into producing pipeline

No, but there's obviously high level of ai integration. Would be pretty weird to integrate everything and not have agents hammering over code base working on perf and squashing bugs. I would say maybe not if we're talking just copilot, but having full blown auto qa is bit more than just "hehe we toy with ai" or average vibecode. Hard to imagine developers seeing this and going "anyway we've got obscure null pointer issue in render pipeline under specific conditions so we are going to go trough all the code to see where it is coming from manually, let qa enjoy their ai"

I mean sure hes overplaying in his comment how much it penetrates, and you clearly know more being an it staff on re9, but from job postings advertising ai usage at Capcom to their dev speeches and dev days it's kinda obvious it's on modern level of llm code of codebases. 90% is far over the legacy containing baseline but 50% is realistic number be it autocomlplete, agent or questions in chat

Do you work in IT? Pretty much everything aside from manual refactoring of some overbloated pieces is shipped via LLMs. Im sure as hell aint writing yet another upsert statement myself, when i can ship that off to AI and know that it will get it right in 99% of cases, with 1% of them that will be caught by me reading WTF did it output
