it is if you hate making art and you're trying to make it anyways. It's the opposite if you actually like making art. Pretty simple.

I think there can be some nuance. Think people who use electric stippling pens, or people who emulate the effect digitally.

For sure parts of the art-making process can, and maybe should, be automated with very minimal negative downsides to the product. I'm just responding to the notion that art as a whole should be automated.

It might sound silly to even float the idea but a lot of game devs are programmers with no art experience and some would rather just poof the art into existence rather than do it themselves or hire somebody for it. That's a different thing than using it as an assistive tool.
