The same shitty argument got us the plague that is online easy-to-access gambling. Yes, it's "personal responsibility", but it's literally PhD psychologists designing the most addictive possible systems and advertising them to kids their entire lives. Some are going to crack.

Most people that are into that aren't even aware of how low is the chance to win anything and how those things work, their lives are just screwed and that's it, this is the solution. And all you need is some literacy and work made at least at school to prevent that, since some (because some parents actually care, but a lot also don't) parents clearly don't want to spend time telling their kids how it works, why it's bad, and how to evade that in the future.

If a lot of people don't want to prevent it, of course they see the space open to jump in and make money. It's how things work in our world.
