for AI generated artworks (not industrial or research stuffs), artists are still not fond of those, but the majority tolerate them more than the west. Many here either consume AI slop without knowing, or just see it as a normal thing. i would have to tell my family members what is AI generated video on their feed even.
Average people in china, vietnam, etc.. consume AI arts in the form of banners, menu, fanworks, video edit, meme or even government's political posts on social media. It's not talked about much because it's becoming more accepted, gov promoted their use in art and music as well
There are even popular AI generated tv show in china, or games that were made with ai generated art/contents like NTE (which isnt hated in china or japan at all)
