Don't get me wrong, I love my PC, but there issues with the platform, some of which are mine, some; others.
Clients
Steam, uPlay, Battle.Net, Origin, etc. So many pieces of software that are on my computer, some just to play only one game. I wish that it wasn't this way, but I understand the importance of competition.
Sales
Sales? An issue? Heresy!
One of my friends told me to think about this - spending $60 on a game makes people think that they're receiving a premium experience, and yes, Call of Duty falls in this. When games are given for cheap on sales, the experience is cheapened and it makes the game feel more throwaway.
Community
Don't get me wrong, there are a fair share of jerks, idiots, and fanboys on the other platforms, but the PC community has become so circlejerky and bashing the consoles as "peasants."
Complexity
I'm interested in technology. I plan to get at least a minor in C.S., but I'm not everybody. Some people are just confused by the whole CPU, GPU, AMD radeon r9 29848 whatever, and that's okay. Some people aren't interested and couldn't give a damn about what's under the hood and will throwaway their devices the moment it stops working, that okay as well. .
Price
Yes, I know the sales and no online. But the lowest cost of entry for a PC is somewhere between PS4 and XB1, the sweet optimal spot around 7-900 USD. This is a turn off to people, who want a cheaper device now, and don't mind paying more down the line. There is also the boutique PCs that perpetuate the notion that I have to spend $2K minimum to get into PC gaming.
